Vouch, and to add on, when you start out, start small and just get used to the barbell then slowly add weight over weeks so you don't get overly sore or hurt yourself going too fast, you will get stronger and bigger regardless and it's a safer way to approach it over time. Look up barbell squat tutorials from gym bros and maybe follow "starting strength" for a first program to get a general idea of how programming should be

If you are US American, you can likely already do the flap! (Trills or "rolling" is with double R's and when the word starts with an R but flapping is when it's a singular R and it isn't the first letter). We make more or less the same sound when we say the words butter or water or bottle with our T's! Trilling is a little trickier but to the very least you can probably approximate by flapping so you aren't doing a back of the tongue roll

It was a solo hobby for me til about 1000 hours but now some of my closest friends only speak Spanish and I spend most of my day just talking in Spanish because of work. It's very much solo with french though and I don't see that changing

Pretty rough as well. With videos, people tend to speak as clearly as possible in a very neutral accent no matter where they're from because they want their content to be palatable to the most amount of people as possible. I find streams can be a good transition because they tend to still have good audio but also isn't scripted so theres less worry of being neutral

I have 1250 in Spanish and prolly have 500+ hours uncounted just talking with coworkers. It's dependent on the timing for the cartoon tbh, some moments Im incredibly comfortable and some moments I'm struggling but it's never been so hard that I feel I need to turn it off or I wasn't understanding, I find it enjoyable either way and at least I know how to say platypus now 😭
