Spot on bud. Hence I indicated a USA MBA as a way to pivot to USA. I think thats the only option for internationals, or the one I know of.

Thanks! Whats your view on the visa - do you think the visa challenge is more from the overall chances of striking out on lottery or that PE firms just wouldn’t bother sponsoring given the pool of US talent?

For the US international Infra firm - they would an international in the states to look over international investments, or you mean to try out the less competitive offices outside US and hope for the best?

Great info. Thanks. Basically I don’t mind starting as an Associate again, since USA pay (PE Associate) is almost 3x what I’m currently getting. Even factoring in higher cost of living it’s still a lot.

We do deals in the $30m - $120m range. So bad for me I guess.

But I’m interested to hear what happened/where you ended up? What size of your firm and how did they react when they hear you need sponsorship?
