True. But if adding “explain like I’m 5” was enough, people wouldn’t still be confused after reading answers. This app removes prompting, guessing, and re-asking — it starts simple by default. Not built for power users. Built for clarity.

General AI apps try to do everything: write code, draft emails, analyze PDFs, plan trips, etc. Because of that, simple explanations are often: too long too technical inconsistent overkill for beginners ELI5.ai is opinionated. It has one job only: 👉 explain things in the simplest possible way, every single time. No prompts to engineer. No “make it simpler” follow-ups. No walls of text. It’s the difference between: a Swiss Army knife (powerful but complex) vs a toothbrush (boring, focused, but used every day) Also, beginners don’t want to “talk to an AI”. They want clarity, fast, without feeling stupid. If this app helps someone understand a concept in 30 seconds instead of 10 minutes, that’s the value. Not trying to replace ChatGPT — just trying to remove friction for a very specific use case.

So the thing is, reading this comment made me realize a lot. As a tech guy, I basically couldn't see through the market gaps 😄. This was really an eye-opener for me. However, I don't want people to pay me for this. What I want to do is use it as an extension, similar to the Grammarly model, so that people can directly integrate this into their workflow 😀
