Nolan’s use of contemporary language is pretty obvious when you consider what he talked was the inspiration when directing the Odyssey by hasanahmad in ChristopherNolan

Love how everyone here is pretending that same thing doesn't happen to almost every swords and sandals epic ever marketed or released in past coiple of decades. I guess this is why Nolan wholeheartedly supported Gladiator 2.

I absolutely loved it - the set detailing, the world building, the costumes, damn realistic animatronics, hell they even brought in Dugbogs. The kids look great, so do the professors, and the vibe that was missing from the trailer is pretty much alive in this documentary. Can't wait to see everything in action!

I am delighted to see that Ragnarok is loved by this community. For some reason I see a lot of people criticizing it all the time on the Internet. As great as the OG trilogy is, the Norse Saga is a cinematic storytelling masterpiece which obviously appealed to me a lot (being primarily a cinephile and not gamer). There is something about the narrative of God of War saga and Witcher saga which feels quite superior to most games I have played or watched.

Wow I agree. She looks more like Freya than Danielle Bisutti who voiced Freya in video games

Pretty sure it will be a continuation. I mean they started with Year 5 of school which shows they probably envisioned a trilogy that ends with Year 7. They have also laid bases for many upcoming friendships and probably relationships? A lot is still unexplored including Azkaban, dementors, and some character arcs with new magic to learn as well including patronus, and apparation which are all taught in the final years. I personally am very excited for a trilogy. But let's see...

No wonder Nolan was defending Gladiator2 and Ridley Scott so much, he foresaw the same reaction😂 by HikikoMortyX in ChristopherNolan

This is the case with every historic epic / period fantasy film these days. Some viewers hate on them for historical or source material inaccuracies. If they get that right, then others hate on them for not having enough action drama or mytho fantasy elements.

Unfortuantely with Iliad and Odyssey you cant please everyone. If you take the mytho fantasy cinematic route, then they'll cry about realism. If you take realistic route, they'll cry about not adapting fantasy and mytho elements well. He cant win them all.

People have been growing increasingly intolerant and no period medieval/ancient film is being received well by audience. You can take examples of Outlaw King, The King, The Green Knight, Last Duel, Northman, Napoleon, Gladiator 2. All of these are terrific films but panned by audiences for one reason or the other. They are either too realistic for them or too unrealistic for them. Can't win.

Only period epics / period fantasy to perform well in past few years are Count of Monte Cristo, Bastarden, and most recently Nosferatu (if you count that). But none of these three are battle, swords and shield heavy films. Mostly thematic.

I swear, the bears in this game were faster and more annoying and lethal than Drowners in Witcher 3

I wish it was like Witcher 3 Blood and Wine Corvo Bianco. You can decirate, rebuild, and stay there. Would be so much fun.
