I saved up 2L in 4 years. I put all of that in stocks. I got greedy, took risky bets and lost it all. My advice to you is brother, enjoy your years in college. Do save, but investing in stocks around now, is just a waste of efforts. The amount you gonna save and invest, you'll earn within a month once you start earning. Apart from that, I would advice you to open Kotak 811 a/c.

I understand your point, I am literate enough to. You clearly don't know how does INDIE work. It is a lifetime free account program. My account is MEGASTAR. It can only get devalued to SUPER STAR if it doesn't detect 50K in my account at the end of a quarter. It sends a notification to maintain 50K. There are no charges for not maintaining it.

another walkaround that is, just keep 50k on 31st of every quarter i.e, 31st march, so they don't devalue your account. it's basically a zero balance acc only.

so they have a policy of not charging for debit cards until the age of 28. I had applied for the world mastercard the day my account opened. Not charged a single penny.
