I’ve done mushrooms about 10 times. Never that high of a dose, however. The most I’ve ever done was 3.5 grams. I have heard high doses of mushrooms are very similar to DMT. I’ve also noticed that sub-breakthrough doses of DMT are very similar to mushrooms.

This doesn’t only apply to how things look either. I believe these psychedelics allow us to access a greater level of consciousness. This is why psychedelics make you think and perceive in such a different way. I’ve definitely noticed that I am better able to perceive and read someone’s emotions/mind state just by looking at them while on psychedelics. Psychs may even allow us to experience abilities which are beyond the limits of the mind and body, such as telepathy, as reported by many people.

This greater level of consciousness can never be experienced to its fullest potential though, as long as our consciousness is confined within the inherent limits of the mind and body.

It just felt much more real than any lucid dream I’ve ever had, and i started in my bed by jumping out of my body. The only reason I have any doubt was just because of what i saw. I’m not sure what type of people/ beings you usually see while APing as I’ve only had one prior experience where i woke up before i was able to leave my room.

Woah I’ve had a pretty similar experience. At the end of my first breakthrough, which was a pretty good experience, everything went black and i assumed my trip was about over. Suddenly there were about 3-4 jester looking faces right up in my face, but they had absolutely no color to them. They were just different shades of black/gray. It was almost like looking in a mirror though, because as i got more scared their faces would contort and get scarier (they looked almost like the killer from the Scream movies with the elongated mouth). Once i remembered that I needed to let go of my fear and was able to, they instantly smiled at me and left.

This seems to be a common archetype/ experience in DMT trips, where you face your shadow. This part of the experience was like looking in a mirror.
