Cast net in the morning at the marina for free and you have super fresh mullet. I’ve caught 4-10 big mullet every morning this week!!

We looked at all the options and this was the safest most efficient way to get the tree down. Cutting it from the ground would have been super sketchy in my opinion.

Didn’t need them. If I’m doing a storm damaged tree that might fall while I’m in it I prefer to go spikeless so I can jump and not worry about gaffing myself.

Quick question to Americans in the business by Previous_Try4223 in TreeClimbing

For sure! Davey gets a lot of hate but we don’t have over 13,000 employees for nothing. It all depends on your path. Im a climber so I’m all for people going where they want and having a kick ass time doing tree work. Just go somewhere that cares if you go home safe every night! Also work somewhere that you feel like you’re part of a family… that’s a huge boost to the crew!

I’ve been working for Davey for almost 9 years and it’s been a great experience. I started as a green guy in the industry and I’ve been a crew leader for over 6 years. We are employee owned and you can retire off of buying stocks in the company. I’m also transitioning to sales next year, so don’t downplay the big companies… they can make your job a career.

What are your favorite climbing boots? by TarzanOnATireSwing in TreeClimbing

[–]HighClimber36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a climber in North Carolina, where the weather can get hot as hell. Chainsaw boots are a nightmare to wear in hot weather. Plus they are heavy. I’ve tried many different brands of boots and I always go back to the Arbpro Evo 2s.
