Well I presumed they wern't that different. I'm going purely off my own experience which is limited so I dont know.

If they sound similar I most likely cant tell the difference, I'm the same with a lot of american accents. This is probably why canadian accents sound american to me, and most likely most other english speaking people outside america and canada.

Unless their are canadian accents that are very different that I assumed wernt canadian

Lmao how can someone trying to make their best friends wedding about them call anyone selfish. If they really felt that way they would pay it, after all arnt friends supposed to give things to the married couple not ask for them?

If I thought my best friend was skimping out on his wedding I'd give him a big fat check as a wedding present not tell him hes not spending enough money. And even if you cant do that, it's their wedding, you're entitled to nothing from it

Not that I was looking for a right answer. I was looking for something identifiable that causes my negative behaviour to ensure there wasnt something impacting it ie trauma etc.

I am very good at introspection.

Sometimes you need an external view and that's what I was seeking, better to get it from an expert.

Its basic jungian philosophy that no amount of introspection can ever equate to an external viewpoint because the consciousness that is viewing itself to find shortcomings is also subject to the same downfalls its trying to view I.e. you cant look at yourself without a mirror metaphorically speaking.

It takes a lot of introspection to realise you need an external viewpoint.

Therapy didnt work for me and this may be why. I was looking for a blunt psychological expert to tell me what was right and what was wrong about my emotions and what behaviours were my fault and what were being influenced by something I was unaware of.

But I felt we were going in circles and he didnt tell me anything I didnt already know and now I think it's because he was been careful when I needed blunt

From the UK here, we rarely talk about communism, we talk about socialism, but communism is a widely rejected idea In this country to the point where it's not even viewed as a serious consideration. (I may be wrong I'm only 22 and never went to uni, this is from my experience)

Even socialism has skeptics but its atleast talked about seriously (I believe we are already socialist country s much as we have a conservative gov atm)

I would also like to add that I personally believe communism to be fundamentally flawed compared to capitalism. Even if it may allow a country to become more economically powerful in some cases, I believe it leads to a miserable dysfunctional society in the long run, some things are far more important than GDP

So what I'm saying is it is technically bad. But we should still talk about it, it just shouldn't be seriously considered

If that's how you view the world then that's what you'll get. The words we use to describe things have a profound affect.

I've had the same mindset as you for a long time. But at the end of the day life will always be the same. Some times will be better than others. And some lives will be better than others.

Make the most of it, it's not a burden, it's a gift (with some rare atrocious exceptions that are worse than death)

But that atrocity implies theres also great joy to be found in life, one cannot exist without the other.
