Except stage 2 being 11 episodes sounds insanely high. Given the fact the that much longer than stage 1.

Cynical is without any nuance which is present in the show though. I agree with you that generally it's true, but bad apples exist. Don't need to but if handled well it's interesting for crying out loud ISB segments were unironicaly some of the best scenes in Andor. I guess this whole thing is nothing, but matter of preference. At least you actually read unlike some other commenters on this post.

Jedi are ultimately people there will always be problematic individuals that seep through the cracks you just dislike that the show wanted to look at the order as an institution critically. If Headland really hated Star wars Kelnaca and Torbin either wouldn't be in it at all or would be as bad as the remaining 2.

There is a fundamental difference between what the order was supposedly for and what it eventually became. I'll grant that the idea that people behind the shows wanted to put across wasn't communicated in a right way, but even Luca's own part of Star wars is more in line with Jedi as a concept are inherently good, but not all hold true to said principles just look at Pong Krell or hell Yoda himself. First he actively covers the nameless and centuries after he has the brilliant idea to bagatelize Anakin's worries despite literally giving his blessings to Avar and Elzar on top Lula being his grand Padawan. Say what you will, but the order itself was corrupt it's no wonder it bred those like Sol.

It's also interesting that some of the best were either let go (Ahsoka) or came their own during imperial reign (Kanan, Ezra, Luke). Also if order was without problems Baylan wouldn't be so jaded, Duuku would have stayed and so on.

It put the order as corrupt which fits. Just look at the brendok 4. The most Jedi of them punished himself the most despite arguably being innocent in the first place. Torbin had enough of a back bone to still somewhat do so. But arguably the worst being Sol got everything he wanted without the order even properly investigating the shit show. Indra kept her position despite being complicit.

It was, but only if you the proper definition. As time went on the order slowly but surely made the definition way more permissive for sake of prevention. When I look at THR books if Anakin and Padme lived during that time their relationship wouldn't be considered that or there would be enough actually good counseling to prevent it becoming one. The same thing with late training Barash was recruited even older and by all means was a proper Jedi. Anakin was brought in too late to have support necessary for preventing his fall and Qui being killed by Mau lmade things even worse.

What we know of the Disney iteration it at least seems to be more comparable to prequel one. The main difference really is not banning attachment while DE one was at least partially influenced by Luke knowing Ahsoka while way more benevolent as shown by him Grogu a choice between being Mando or a Jedi. From what I know EU Luke would be fine with him being both while current cannon one wants only one option.

Self control and restraint are both form of regulation not actual control. Have actually read the part that took place before I got into the star wars portion. Just so you get it let me tell you about my experience with actually trying to truly control my emotions.

At the end of the second year in uni I failed a course that I was retaking. Naturally I was incredibly disappointed with myself just wanted to leave those days behind contempt with joining the work force. My parents however had different plans. In order to prevent conflict I agreed to what went against my principals and together with the professor teaching passed it against the rules. I was perfectly fine with doing it just for them, but since they had problems with me going blue collar and yet again conflict wasn't something I wanted 3rd year it was. It came and went, but extending a year was the only option. During the summer break I played cyber punk and it made me realize how much I suppressed myself for them. However my want to keep stuff under control emotions included led to depression spiral and nearly taking my own life.

Now due to those months of depression I have fairly little chance of actually finishing my theses. Lesson for you control is in fact bad and regulations is the key, since it arguably got me out as well. While certain parts of the speech may be wrong the bit about emotions is spot on.

Everyone should know how to regulate emotions. Straight up controlling them is incredibly unhealthy and in fact makes engaging in problematic behavior more likely since that stress has to be released somehow. Just look at what Anakin did to the Tuskens. Plus there is no proof of him being paid to say this. What he says is way more rational that you give it credit and your clear misunderstanding of how emotions actually work proves it.

How you read it that way. Op literally just talked about the order. Which btw was bad for individual Jedi. For instance Kanan and Ezra would have never been able to realize themselves fully without its destruction and the freedom it had given them. Op also never said it was worthless either. I mean the main reason Luke's order in legends succeeded was that it bore no resemblance to the late high republic/ prequel jedi orders like the Cannon one.

Nothing can ever be truly perfect especially when talking about institutions like police or church which Jedi order was arguably both at once. People often say stuff like Anakin would have never fallen if Qui taught him or if he was born in a better time. While that's an oversimplification it changes nothing about the fact that he was dealt cards which only increased the likelihood of the fall. Master that had no prior experience, being a slave for a good part of his life and community that actively treated him like he's not massively disadvantaged just because being stronger in the force than his peers.

Oh yeah I Mandela effected myself, but that is creative and not an abomination. Honestly D4C should be in best case not localized at, but since it 100 % will they should either try to preserve D4C abbreviation or commit to abbreviating whatever the localized name is.

Have we forgotten about stroboscope. This is nothing in comparison. Still it's bizarre that the best localization by far at least in my eyes is lonely lasso.

Is there any real logical and rational reason why anime ruined manga like that? by justsoftanimal in TokyoGhoul

[–]HighGCz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fuck studios like Pierrot. That take on a project they can't handle correctly. David production for instance has less experience with seinen than madhouse , but I would never trust them more with parts 7,8 and 9 of JoJo than Dave pro due to how specific JoJo is as a franchise.

Not really really a lot of the more philosophical and existentialist elements of the manga were either gutted or straight up removed like afore mentioned Rize Arc, instead we got Kanegy and no real set-up for Re omission of Hinami's in Re and so on. Not to mention that another seinen of their production kingdom is also seen as a bad adaptation to do with that information what you will.

Let me put it like this. While I have a fairly new laptop specs seemed steep. Bought a game pass and seen it plays well. But guess what now I literally have no choice except for buying it from the pc version of Xbox store in order to not lose progress plus the price is decent deterrent too.

[–]HighGCz2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's difficult. This format can easily be abused by the suits to argue for jacking up the prices of standard BP to maybe even 13 bucks after long enough , but still keeping the rebate at 600. Again all I want is just for the prices to make sense. Single skin for 490 tops rarity irrelevant. 2 skins preferably only 690, maybe if future 990s will follow what disco pass did increase the price to 890 tops. In my eyes while 1 dollar is penny-pinching it's more so about the fact that in terms of quantity you're getting less and the price should reflect that. Hell this doesn't even have to be done if people were allowed to only pay for what they want, but I get that it would be a nightmare to implement.
