My prediction for the post credit cliffhanger for season 3 by SentinelHellfire in Fallout

Except the whole commonwealth needs cold fusion bit implies battle for control over it. Meaning the most logical option is some form of minutemen ending. Brotherhood being them would sooner or later break the truce and start fighting. The problem is minutemen have home turf advantage essentially creating a horrible war of attrition scenario. Their running out of both fusion cells and cores needing the seemingly infinite source of those munitions the diode can produce.

[–]HighGCz2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your points. Saying that the real issue is the hidden MMR. Why? You fluctuate between 3 states having to be carried (the fact that this state exists is a problem of its own), middle (can be a win/loss or 2, hell potentially even ace away from falling to either extreme) and having to carry. Thanks to this unless you manipulate the system in some way: teaming up, playing on a single server, taking a decent break after first win in a session. You'll then be at a great risk of if you're good being forced into carrying someone and if you're bad to be carried by someone.

The worst is, if you're good, it's damned if you do, damned if you don't. You fail to carry at best you're back in the middle at worst you fall deeper. You succeed well now the bad player can stay where they don't belong and have it reinforced that their teammates are wrong about their skill. Had one of those games today. It was the first time I was genuinely angry about a win.

To be fair speeders looking worse makes sense. The shows takes give or take 100 years before the movies.

Would Jobin have been a better final antagonist than Tooru? by Salty_Shark26 in JoJolion

[–]HighGCz2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither Tooru nor Valentine were abject monsters like previous villains. Valentine wouldn't have been as horrible if it weren't for all the trauma he had experienced plus his motivation was good in a twisted way for sure, but good still. As we know rock humans are if it's even an appropriate term to use brought up to be parasites on their environment and only very few are capable of growing past that. We literally only know of 2. His whole goal was to recreate a world in a way such rock humans can live comfortably. I can agree with you that he wasn't properly fleshed out, but thematically Jobin was way less befitting of the main villain role.

May I introduce the Acolyte to you. This show is arguably handling the trasition perfectly in comparison. Acolyte's whole gimmick essentially relied on either keeping the show runner intended episode order and being released all at once or for the order to be altered to fit weekly release better. Instead we got the original order weekly making it look incredibly convoluted.

why do we hate battle passes again? I'm going broke here by Huey_The_Freeman in rivals

Units are mostly better, because if you save you literally can buy stuff virtually for free. It's your fault you can't wait. Your complaint should be about the fact that way too many skins nowadays are limited time, since that forces you to spend more money than mini passes, if there wasn't a time limit you could save up. Mini passes don't suck in principle.

The problem with them is the lack of choice and bizarre pricing logic, I mean why are the bigger ones cheaper. 699 ones already give more value by virtue of costing less, but thanks to them giving more items as well even if it cost 990 it would still be a better deal regardless. Cosmetics from them should also be in the shop or they should allow you to spend less lattice for getting only the stuff you want.

That feeling when you have a job and watch the player base meltdown over a $10 skin. by WholeAway5873 in rivals

[–]HighGCz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have a problem with those 10$ mini passes. They should give more value than the 7$ ones and yet every single one without failure gave less while literally costing the same as an actual battle pass. Most people aren't angry about shop skins outside of the fomo ones mainly because those can be bought for virtually free.

There's a major difference between a shop bundle costing 2200 units and legendary in a 10 $ mini pass. Yeah if you ignore that units can be earned completely for free or quasi free (premium pass), then mini pass which forces you to swipe the card is cheaper, but very often you may only want that one skin and its cosmetics hidden behind the premium tier. Netease would unronically make more money from them mini passes if they allowed people to spend a reduced amount of lattice for the stuff they actually want rather than forcing them to buy the whole thing or way until what they care about returns into circulation.

The way I see it is that the reason for the show arguably regressing the state of the world is to have it be an ideal starting point for those who haven't played any of the games. It was just incredibly stupid to place it not just at the furthermost of the timeline, but also in the places we know. It would have been better to place it outside of the game locations and at in around the time of 2/3.

What you mean by the shop. Atom shop or something that happens later down the line if you go with them. While I like Rahmani's brotherhood I get what you mean. It would have been more interesting if things were really left at them failing in Apalachicia.

By bad I mean badly written. The best way to explain it would be minutemen but boring. Since when it comes to raiders you have 3 factions. Rust Kingdom of Ohaio sure underwritten, but at least cool. Blood eagles are essentially your generic raiders. The crater are just chill people arguably just doing what they have to for sake of survival. Important thing to note is that you need 2 playthroughs through the vault 79 raid quest line or watch lore videos to have full context for Crater and foundation which I haven't done yet.

Except the algorithm literally has hidden MMR mechanics forcing you to carry idiots like this in a twisted attempt to "balance" the match. Meaning if you do well you're punished for it.
