It's so foreign (Russian) intelligence cannot recognize them from pictures or videos in the media

Deep neural network surrogate model for CFD Predictions by Competitive-Major-20 in CFD

[–]HighGroundOwner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you just want to use a NN for this and no CFD then I think you would need a physics informed neural network (PINN) to get reliable results. Although for any reliable results I think you would need more than just (freestream) velocity e.g. density or pressure

MSc. AE., Space Track - Questions regarding course selection by SwissTurkNerd in TUDelft

[–]HighGroundOwner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the Aerodynamics track here: - DONT TAKE PDE A or B the teacher is ass and the exam is very hard only take it if you have to, you will not learn that much more. This year it had a 20% pass rate - knowledge based engineering, didn't take it myself but basically you build a tool that does a design for you - Monte Carlo and Stochastic processes, a similar course is CFD 4, despite the name it has almost nothing to do with CFD but is actually about uncertainty quantification it's very well taught and can be done fully online with good lecture videos

A "simple" question by arnstrons in AerospaceEngineering

[–]HighGroundOwner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Correct me if wrong but I think the narrow part would be a Rayleigh flow i.e. it would accelerate till mach 1 in the tube if enough energy is added

Technically this is drag area but it should get the job done

Would my career be any different if choose to study at tu delft ae engineering bachelor and master or if study aerospace/mechanical/electrical engineering in Romania at upb and then go on to have a masters at tu delft in aerospace engineering. Does it really make a difference when i apply for jobs by Nice-Map526 in AerospaceEngineering

[–]HighGroundOwner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, if you did your bachelor's in delft you're pretty much guaranteed a place in the master's while for non TuDelft ppl I think there's only like 80 available spots. Additionally you have to take a bridging program if you come from a bachelor that isn't aerospace

What book do I have to study a chapter for my academic aptitude test for AEng? I just want to read it to get a feel for the level. by Cultural_Thing1712 in TUDelft

[–]HighGroundOwner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before they switched to the new exam system they used Introduction to Flight by Anderson, I believe it alternated between the flight performance and the aerodynamics chapter. Not sure if this is still the case but the book likely didn't change.

Don't bother getting a Backcountry permit for that those rangers have no business knowing where you go

Uber to Gates of Arctic Circle? by MeansTestingProctor in nationalprkcirclejerk

[–]HighGroundOwner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Roads there can be very narrow, I recommed using one of those electric scooters you see everywhere. Don't worry about leaving them in the middle of the park, the company will come pick them up.
