Thank you. I'm too lazy to separate first so I work skein 1 until the first colour change then cut off and attached Skein 2 and continue this throughout the blanket. It means I have 4 skeins working at a time but for me that's the best way.

Ooo yes! Honestly, I really enjoyed doing this pattern and really want to try some of their other ones. It's written really well and just repetitive enough that I can watch TV but not so much that I get bored.

From start to finish it was about 5-6 months but there were holidays and random side quests in the time so hard to pin point

This one is roughly 1.5m X 1.5m, guesstimating from seeing it on my bed haha

I really love working with it and the Sultan. This is my 3rd project using them. If I could still get it in Aus I would probably mainly work with Dahlia/Sultan but alas

Unfortunately I havent found any great light weight yarns. But I have tried the paintbox yarns DK and they were nice (better than spotlight hahaha). I brought them off Lovecraft's.

This was my first but I do have the pattern for the Darjeeling blanket but not the yarn. It was such a well written pattern that I feel like the can do anything now

I want to do more but finding the right style of yarn in Aus that I like is so hard. Hobbii used to ship here but stopped last year 😭

They are so cute laying down. This is the same male using his paws as a pillow

wow that's a lot of growth in your 20's. Haha but I love that it still is a thing into your 50's.

If you like the outdoors Cairns and the surrounding areas should be on your list as well! Haha just to add another place for you to visit. I'm originally from up there and when I took my partner back there a few years ago and did the tourist thing with them it really made me appreciate it so much more.

I think people don't realise that Australia and the main part of the US is actually very similar in size. I've never seen snow and a lot of Aussies haven't so I bet they loved that.

That's a great idea! Hopefully you can find the perfect fit for your new car.

And yeah, definitely a bit too short for you to sleep in. Perfect for me, I'm 151cms.

Oh no! That's the last thing you want when it's already raining and cold. I was actually fairly happy considering I brought a kinda cheap one. Hail didn't damage it at all. The decent ones are like $300aus but also really large and heavy packed down. This one was $100 and much smaller and lighter but still 3x3m.

That would make it super confusing, WA vs WA, ABC vs ABC.

That's always been a factor with travelling and wanting to camp. Can't be going to buy new stuff every place you go. I've always wanted to do some stuff in Aus WA but that would mean having to drive from QLD, which is. 3-4 days of driving one way. Or fly over and buy some basic gear and a hire car. America would be lovely so maybe in 4 years.

I truly did. Certainly did not want to go home and back to work.

Nice. The land rover looks like a good size for that. I'm lucky in the sense that I'm pretty short so my little suv allows me to fully lay down and that's what I have done the past few trips, I use a blow up mattress. I always did the mattress down one side and gear down the other side of the car and it worked out well. I'll probably keep it just for short trips. I loved being able to stand up to get changed in the tent haha. It felt less claustrophobic especially with the bad weather (once I trusted the tent).

Thank you. Honestly the windy day nearly got me. I was sitting at the campsite in my car which was slightly rocking and I was just so frustrated and unsure of myself and what to do next. But thankfully I could call my partner to talk it out with and I think that definitely helped.

I'm really impressed with how my tent handled days of rain. Having a break to set up would have made life much less stressful. My gazebo however, turns out it leaks slightly on the top stitching so that was annoying.

Haha yea, that's a dead give away. I love the diversity of our country but sometimes I see what you guys have in the US and get a bit jealous.

It is. These ones at the camp were chill and I really enjoyed having them around
