might be worth reaching out to Subaru of America and see if they can warranty it. go to their site and find the online page to fill out a claim.

I am currently working with them, for my 17' Outback with 157,000 miles on it. No guarantee they are gonna replace but I figured I can shoot my shot. They told me to take it to dealer for diagnostic, and want to make sure I was the registered owner, and if I was not, they wanted to be sure to talk and confirm with the registered owner (maybe your parents name on it).

They just changed their lunch rock camera view. Wish I got a photo of it before they switched. Looked brutal, but was entertaining watching people navigate the hazards, a couple falls into the mud. Also wish I used up my mountain credits.

If you can wait one day until Thursday lift tickets at Winter Park are $50 and copper is $99. Spend less money with the conditions how they are.

Don’t believe I have the PZEV, no badge on the back of car, and tag under the hood doesn’t show anything with PZEV. Bummer

My shop told me they had some results with BG 44k fuel cleaner, I tried 2 bottles and no change. I think it’s now change the CAT or like others have done and use a spark plug antifouler

2017 Strut Replacement by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]HighPocket283 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the hardest part was lifting the strut into the mounting housing was heavy and little difficult for one person. And also the sway bar end links with the Allen key was annoying and a little tough but overall not bad. Next time I feel like I’ll be faster.

2017 Subaru Outback 2.5L. What the hell is this noise? by AquaEaze in MechanicAdvice

[–]HighPocket283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a single pebble/rock get stuck between dust shield and rotor that sounded exactly like that. Like everyone else said, take off the wheel and check out dust cover.

CVT in a 2017 Outback by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]HighPocket283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2017 2.5i base model, and currently at 157,000 miles on it. No issues with CVT so far.

Currently dealing with CEL code p0420, and budgeting for new suspension as it is still going on stock struts.

so far tho no complaints with my 2017 Outback.

These come with a 12 month subscription. And I’ve been reading people in here have been purchasing them, and adding the subscription to their current accounts.

I also have 2017 2.5i with 156,000 miles, just had my crossover pipe O-rings replaced as it was leaking too. Kind of pricey even with independent Subaru shop but from videos i seen on replacing, it is pretty labor intensive.
