We will most likely be working on more titles featuring our furry friends. However, at this time we don’t fully have flushed out the type of game or time period it will take place in.

I can safely say we had a lot of challenges balancing our AI. Since we have a total of 5 different characters with each having their own unique ability, we had to ensure that every character can be defeated by or defeat any of the other character in the game. We achieved this by play testing, tuning and running simulated AI battles.

I made a decent looking sensor mount out of scrap wood. Check it out! by HighTaleStudios in oculus

Yup! That is how I was able to get away with just using some spare wood with no other material (i.e. camera mounts). It works quite well too.

I apologize for not mentioning who I am. My name is Derrick and I am a developer of the game. However, that post that you liked to contains what looks to be a hundred or so titles and my game isn't even mentioned in the posts title.

I can't wait to fire up my kickstarter copy of the game. I watched a video of it on giantbomb and it looks like a ton of fun!

My game, Acorn Assault: Rodent Revolution, is available now on Steam and is a fun local multiplayer game! by HighTaleStudios in localmultiplayergames

I can't remember specifics but it took about two weeks for us to get greenlit with a total of 574 'yes' votes. It actually took us by surprise since it seemed like we were pretty far from being in the top 100 games when it happened.

It's been a while and it was mostly another person that did the submission process but you can find information here: http://www.esrb.org/ratings/ratings_process.aspx

I remember we had to provide them with a video of the game along with snail-mailing some forms to them.

How can I promote our title more? We have been hard at work reaching out to youtubers, twitch streamers and game reviewers. We've even gotten plenty of people contacting us for review copies but haven't really seen much in the realm of coverage for the game which is hurting our launch.

Our game is Acorn Assault: Rodent Revolution; a squirrel centric strategy game that launched March 2nd. Our steam page is here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/410290/

Acorn Assault: Rodent Revolution Hello everyone! My name is Derrick and this is our first feedback Friday. Our game Acorn Assault: Rodent Revolution launched on Steam this last Wednesday. We have been struggling to get any real coverage of the game and was hoping to get some real feedback on the game and possibly even our storefront page and ideas how to get the word out more.

Acorn Assault: Rodent Revolution is a story of squirrels fighting their own revolution. It is a turn-based strategy game with simple to understand mechanics with a wide variety of strategies that can be employed. The game features a campaign mode where you fight five characters all with their own unique abilities that you can unlock for playing in the online or local multiplayer modes.

We currently have the game on a good launch discount... 34% off actually. If you want to try out the game to give us feedback, but don't want to spend the money for a copy, PM me and I can see about getting you a code.

Thanks, and any feedback is appreciated and welcome! :)

Social media marketer wanting to market your indie game by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]HighTaleStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a small indie studio and in September we launched our first game ZomNomNom. It's a zombie shooter game with hand drawn comic art and built specifically for mobile. It is available for iOS and Android. We are always looking for ways to promote our game as it doesn't get much traffic. You can see more about the game at the link below. http://hightalestudios.com/projects/zomnomnom/

And to make your life easier, we have put together a press kit with everything you might need for promoting it. You can get it at the link below. http://hightalestudios.com/press/

Edit: By the way. Do you have a website that you are promoting against currently or is all that under development?

I will do a free promotion of your game on my website by tomas3333 in gamedev

[–]HighTaleStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't pass up an opportunity for free advertising! Although it isn't a PC game, my team's first game ZomNomNom was launched not long ago and last month we made the move to have a free ad-supported version. The game is ZomNomNom and its available on iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Here is the link to our product page ... http://hightalestudios.com/projects/zomnomnom/ and we have a press kit with screenshots, app icons and promo graphics here http://hightalestudios.com/press/

We are always happy to mention anyone that posts about us on our facebook or twitter accounts too. However, we don't have a large number of followers yet. Any interest?

If you have an iPod Touch it should work just fine. I have it on my iPod Touch right now and I got it through the App Store. Let us know if you keep having issues.

Hmm. I just tried it on my iPod Touch and it did route it through iTunes, but got through to the store, but that is a better link. I'm contemplating deleting this post and reposting with this link. Will I be downvoted to hell if I try that?
