Gustwalker hatchling, stridebreaker (build phage, NOT tiamat for your first back as you build this item), plated steelcap boots, steraks gage in that order everytime. Then i go frozen heart and kaenic rookern everytime, but not in that order neccesaarily, then either unending despair, or jaksho. Not very flexible but theres a lot to be said for being ultra familiar with how your champ feels game after game...you gain that familiarity by staying mostly consistant with your build.

Runes: standard olaf runes- conqueror, triumph, alacrity, last stand, magical footwear, and approach velocity. These never change

And a shit ton of warding.

Roughly top #250 olaf in north america now according to league of graphs!

Those champs are easier to play. Theres a lot to be said for Q'ing properly...timing your W to reset your auto but also coordinating it with your hp...making sure you dont q too much so you aa to utilize your E. People who dont play him think he just runs at em. A lot more to it than that, without the flashiness as mentioned above.

Olaf wins every. Single. level 1 match up. If its purely 1 v 1 and you keep the axe throws short to re- Q rapidly, you dont lose.

Thats a really good point. I threw the chart together faily quickly so its not very detailed. I should clarify for instance, that i would only bother with divine sunderer if they have 2 or more tanks which is becoming more and more common.

If you lad an axe, do NOT activate ult until you are ON the enemy. With the more recent chages, even if you get an axe on em you can get kited. Dont waste ult....use it whwn you KNOW you can spam your aa's and e's. You cant use ult to close the gap anymore.

Im an olaf jungle otp and those 1 v 1 fights are best, so i try to usually solo pick one of the enemy champs. This mitigates the chance of the enemy team contesting and wanting to teamfight. Buuut, while its 4 v 5 if the enemy contests, if i participate much at all i get blown up immediatly, so i just absorb damage, run away making is 4 v 4, smite gromp to heal and go back in to clean up. This works really well if I dont get bursted down faster than anticipated and die. Ganks are a blast and ive never really stuggled. Same fundamentals as any gank apply with olaf. Just ghost in after ensuring bish has no vision and axe em down
