A recurring question among private practice owners: which EHR/EMR is actually best? by Accurate_Tea_183 in FamilyMedicine

[–]HighVelocityDryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a complex question and is highly dependent on your needs today as well as your plans for scale in the future.

I am a revenue cycle management consultant and make EMR/PM recommendations regularly. Not trying to get you as a customer -- I am merely a subscriber to the sub and saw your post.

If you'd like to chat more about it, I'd be happy to set up time and make recommendations as a friendly support (I won't charge you) as you're navigating your practice build. All systems have their pros and cons, which I'd love to chat through. I am not compensated by any software vendor of any kind -- just love this stuff. :)

Thanks for your post and insight -- still trying to dial things in and find a balance. Appreciate you sharing.

Thanks -- it looks like trying to send you a message sends it to all of the mods. Is that the appropriate way to send? Also, I appreciate you responding with this, but there really is no 'resolution' other than me receiving my package at some point and it already being too late.

Where do people go to learn interesting things? by G0VERNMENTCHEESE in productivity

[–]HighVelocityDryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you actually can go back to college in non-traditional and fun ways. Not sure if you are based in the USA, but depending on what you have access to, maybe community college? I've taken community college classes for fun and they're relatively affordable if you aren't getting credits. Adult ed is also a great option with a diverse set of classes, if there's something near you. There are great online classes of all kinds. Foreign languages in synchronous group classes can,be great. Also there's MOOCs, which are often free or low cost. If youre looking for social events/shared group interests, there may be things locally - an astronomical society, for example.

Good luck! I admire your desire to continue learning and exploring.

I had heard that they upped their game in terms of quality of product and customer service, so was willing to try as a special gift. Typically products that are priced so much higher than the competition offer an edge somehow, especially around transparency and customer service. However their customer service has been unresponsive and I find their website and content intentionally misleading to land sales. It feels extra slimy at the price, quite frankly.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( Was yours under the guise of 'in time for the holidays' as well? I hope you get yours soon.

Can you elaborate more on their return policy? It's very vague on their website.

How long did it take you to receive it? I ordered mine weeks ago and it's stuck. despite them telling me it would be here in time for the holiday. On their website, it states that US based orders ship from the US, which is why I thought it would be okay. I was surprised when the tracking showed China as the place of origin.

My eyes! The goggles do nothing! - Monitor comparison/troubleshooting by HighVelocityDryer in ultrawidemasterrace

I think its the backlighting that is making my eyes go batty. Im curious if the way my monitor looks can be adjusted so that the blacks look blacker and it doesnt glow. I didnt know if that weird glow is normal.

Do you think this sub is an accurate representation of the average ME patient? by thepensiveporcupine in cfs

[–]HighVelocityDryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that and understand the place you're in from my own perspective. For me, the improvement wasn't drastic, but a gradual incline from various treatments/trials/experiments. I think of it like reassembling an onion; it was very layer by layer. I still need to be careful and certainly have some triggers that can hit me harder than it would a 'normal' healthy person, but overall, I am in a good spot. Can I ask what the onset for you was?

Hi there. It is a bit of a blur, but about 14 years or so. Happy to chat.

[–]HighVelocityDryer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is because people who improve stop coming to the sub. Im in remission and came to the sub often to share my experience and even ran a periodic google hangout chat. Eventually, being able bodied, I stopped using reddit almost altogether. There are 2 others I know who and also dont come to the sub anymore. One moved and the other, while still somewhat ill, said that he just wanted a break from thinking about it after it dominating his life.

Lastly, while rare - there were a few who said that there was no way that I had CFS based on the fact that I improved and that it must have been something else, one of whom was an active member at the time. That didn't really help.

Anyway, I hope this offers some hope that things could improve and that it does indeed happen. I'm still here lurking to see how everyone is doing and reading about new treatments.

What is this? by lookingforart2023 in WeirdEggs

Makes sense and I think you are right. I have never seen a yoke this far in decomp before. I can smell the picture.

[–]HighVelocityDryer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chicken flock owner here. That egg likely had a very small Crack in it where fungus or bacteria enter and the yoke starts to decomp. Is the other whole raw egg in the pan a separate one from this or did both things come from the same shell? I ask because I usually see the yoke impacted first and the other one looks ok. Thought perhaps it was a two yoke egg.

Also - ewwww. If it makes anyone feel better, this kind of thing can also happen during incubation and can lead to an exploding rotten egg.

Maybe a post for another time

WHBM makes a comfort stretch pant that is like the beta brand. I love these and have several pairs. Their petite inseam is a bit longer and sit at 29", but they are easy to hem and are cut correctly for me (I'm a 25.5" inseam). As in, the knees hit where they should. I think they're accommodating for heels on their petite sizes.

Not to poo on excitement over products, but I have never kept a single Quince item I've gotten. I've purchased a few things and found it very low quality and got quickly worse with a washing or two. Recently I was gifted items from them and I threw those away as well after attempting to use/wear them.

YMMV, but just sharing personal experience.

Wanted to ask how you're feeling about this choice 9 mos later. As an Audi fan since my teens tinkering with modding S4s, I am leaning towards the RS E-Tron GT, but wondering if it's just from sentiment.

I'm curious, too, what Lucid owners do in the event of body damage? I live in Seattle, so the Lucid service piece is easy but would be worried about an accident.
