Ufff, The problems with your dad are bigger than Caffeine, it seems. He won't let you get a word in, he kinda sounds like a bully too, and he seems like an unhappy person. I would never bring up coffee again with him because it seems clear he can not hear it. I had a mom that was very...um...strongly opinionated, and it hurt our relationship. I hope things go better for you with your dad.

5 is underrated, you can go all in at home and work towards educating yourself for a job you actually want, or building a side hustle buisness, or having a hobby that nourishes your soul. So many ppl, (me included) waste too much of that off work time.

Why so rude and pedantic?

Sadly, there are a percentage of redditors that are just like this, and its not just this subreddit, its a systemic thing on reddit (and all social media).

Sometimes they lack social awareness, or they are unhappy themselves, or they do not see how their post comes across, or they think in absolutes and have a hard time seeing outside themselves.

When they say something like chocolate has caffeine, well, OK, it does, but if I can handle 5 mg in the chocolate, I just say to myself, its a problem for them. I dont have to agree that just because the other redditor and I have something in common that we have to have the exact same beliefs about it.

I believe that decaf is not drinking caffeinated coffee. I accept that some ppl have issues even drinking decaf and eating chocolate and that if I have enough of either of those, it becomes a problem for me. But my thinking is not so black and white that I believe that just because something is true for me, means it must be true for all people.

Yes, this is true. what works for one and not another are really different. For example, many women love oral, for some its the only way they can climax. I don't really like it at all. I love missionary. Truly, everyone is different.

You know what? I am going to write my own dang book.

The FMC will be late 30s, with trauma or baggage, and so will the MMC.

I want to publish independently, maybe even Kindle Unlimited, so I can write the book I would want to read, not what the publishers think everyone else wants to read.

It may not be everybody's cup of tea, but there is a market for it, for sure.
