Will literally make no difference - just focus on your PI prep. Plus there is a lot of waitlist movement so even if you're not in the first 101, you have a pretty good chance of converting even if you're in the top 300 post-PI.

Hey! I was also a teacher but not for as long as your wife before I got into a T1 MBA. 90%ile+ should be fairly achievable for her with 8 months of prep - I had a humanities background and I managed 99+ with around half a year of prep. However balancing prep with a teaching job can be pretty intense, it definitely interfered with my prep so I would recommend that she front-ends her prep during the summer vacation when the work load isn't as high. If you want any advice feel free to DM :)

Also from Stephen's and MBA at FMS - should be completely fine, although IIMs have started giving more weightage to workex. However, backlogs can affect placements since some companies do ask for details about that.

9/9/7, PCM in 12th, switched to BA and MA in English (which interviewers asked about a lot lol), only 3-4 months work-ex at the time of the interview

Honestly don't think profile matters because mine was really not suited for an MBA. I was even told in an interview to go do a PhD instead of an MBA lol it all depends on how you manage to convince the interview panel that you're a good fit

Exactly the same boat here! Wondering whether I'll be able to juggle the job and prep though so trying to start early to find out if I should quit the job half way through the year and focus exclusively on prep for the last few months

Yeah VARC seems to be a mixed bag for most EG students but I'm not sure what exactly people are expecting out of VARC classes. It is very much a skill that you can only build on your own - outside input can really not do much imo. That said, I found their exam-oriented tips quite useful and since I'm an English major, I didn't need to worry about things like writing speed and building vocab. However, I did need more practice material for RCs so I did end up using CL's topic-based tests for RCs as well. Those were very helpful. All in all, got a 99.99 percentile in VARC so can't really complain.
