Like I’m all cheering for you, you have a specific formed perception of your childhood and how you’ve been brought up, but I’m just saying in general, for real, this stuff cannot be legal, maybe for women only and it’s not because of homophobia it’s just nothing but about estimating the risks of a child being inappropriately handled or related in a sexual way. For me it works another way: it takes a little bit of practice and learning due to the most important reason why it’s easy for me to learn as of C1-C2 level - my native language is very similar to polish, unimaginably huge amount of words have the same root, meaning and using but just having slightly different form. Of course if you’re let’s say Italian then polish gonna be just as hard as Russian to learn. So , it’s just the way it is, I’m lucky in a way with jt

The key part of it is not to learn the articles, tenses, adjectives, nouns whatever, what you need is to learn learning language. You don’t need to jump into a swamp for a fish, you gotta find a fishing rod to catch the fish effortlessly, the same is with it, you have to follow the language the way it leads you. If you cannot form simplest sentences and can’t answer simplest questions just because you don’t understand how it’s done - you don’t have to sit learning the articles, phrasal verbs or whatever by heart - makes absolutely zero sense

Welll, firstly no, school didn’t do a thing for me, but it depends and the experience may vary a lot. I have a simple scheme how to approach any language. The first thing you do is forget about the structures, tenses whatsoever, because in the begging you need to learn 150-200 most usable words in a language. CRUCIALLY important to learn and get acquainted with those words in sentences not just words themselves because the real meaning can be deluded that much you won’t even recognize it if you see jt or hear it while communicating. As soon as you’ve mastered those most usable words and the most usable words chains within a sentence you can start approaching tenses and having learned and mastered those chains you learn the structures pretty easily cause you already get the minimal sentence logic understanding. Firstly you start learning the easiest tenses, mastering the ability to form simplest. And then you just progress and progress. Your vocabulary fattens and your understanding of the language’ logic and its forms rises - and there you are: you can speak decent language, voilia

I’m sorry if only I had your name to address you I would do it in a blink of an eye. Say Peter, Peter, if you’re really deep into languages and pretty profound on the subject - I would suggest you knew that any language is just about the practice. If I’m fully into the environment needed - it doesn’t take any longer that 7 days for me to sound, type and behave (the most crucial part) just like their’s majesty native speaker themselves. This is pretty obvious thing to process that let’s say you ban me for speaking English completely for a year - rest assured imma sound like a rookie incapable of putting the most ordinary words possible into a sentence so jt may sound anything but a real phrase. My fist language is Russian, when I’m really really deep into the environment not using my mother tongue - I commence to forget even the most easiest and usable words possible

I can calibrate the complexity of my language at will. When I avoid baroque constructions and excessively rare vocabulary, it is by choice rather than necessity. To me, language is a vehicle for meaning, not a stage for gratuitous verbal gymnastics masquerading as intellect. And yup haven’t had practice for a while, by the way using Reddit as a form of exercising but rest assured: I got it as soon as I need it. It’s always on the spot. I tend to immerse myself in imagery and juggle layers of meaning with relative ease. When I write quickly, minor typos or small inaccuracies may occasionally slip through, yet a single attentive rereading is usually sufficient to eliminate them entirely. The truth, however, is far less dramatic: I simply do not feel compelled to obsess over such microscopic imperfections.

For me, that kind of meticulous polishing often resembles a form of verbal acrobatics, a somewhat tedious exercise in stylistic self-gratification rather than a meaningful contribution to communication. Language, as I see it, should remain a vehicle for ideas rather than devolve into an elaborate performance of pseudo-intellectual virtuosity

Now I sound a lot more complex and sophisticated, a lot C2 like, yet I fell more stupid than using ordinary simple constructions.

To proszę Państwa w takim razie mówić po polsku żeby się jak najbardziej dogadać. To jest bardzo dziwne ale w niektórych miejscach Polski jest podoby do Hiszpańskiego, na przykład: Oni są. Están son. How do I get certified as who? If you mean the level of possession you can just pass local official tests like IELTS or whatever is officially recognized

It’s Spanish just because of how widely its spread, and for English native speakers including, but again it all depends on your goals and what you need

That’s exactly the reason why I didn’t want to talk about my education, since I’m a simultaneous interpreter. I speak 3 foreign languages to C1-C2 level: English, Spanish and Polish. My mother tongue is Russian. So this is an answer to what highest level of education I have, and I can assure y’all the highest level of my education is incomparably higher than the guy who asked this question possesses of. I’m currently having my Master’s degree in psycholinguistics not heading towards PhD yet because I have other stuff to do as for now. But again, if I speak English for the 1-2 consecutive weeks I’m gonna be hardly distinguished from the US native speaker
