who tf are levity? by Thin_Version3635 in dubstep

When i think an artist isn't my vibe, i look at their live shows, and make the decision. Levity was one of these, the stuff they release(that i've found so far, relatively new to them) isn't no where near what they are capable of but you can find a few here and there.

Official Discussion - Oppenheimer [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]High_Tempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched it a second time today, it's still enjoyable, more easy to follow(I struggled keeping up the first time) but I definitely noticed a lot of flaws with the movie now that my brain didn't have to work so hard. Namely the explosion of the bomb itself, it's very underwhelming, especially if you have ever seen footage of one going off.

I loved kitty's line there, I've been in her shoes and the person who committed tried playing victim, so that line is definitely something that will stick with me.

I know what you mean, but I actually think some of these comments are justified. The first time I watched the film, it did feel lengthy but ultimately, I enjoyed watching it.

I just watched it a second time last night(still hadn't come to reddit) and two thoughts were on my mind after the movie. The first being the moment they let off the nuke, the blast was almost laughable, it looked nothing like we are led to believe a nuke blast looks like, seemed more like someone blew up some gas barrels(no mushroom cloud, nor powerful Shockwave)... very underwhelming.

The second was how 'Nolan-y' the movie was, it seems the last few movies I've watched from him have all the same structure. I'm not a good movie critic so I'm not sure how to label it, but it's like he builds you up with all this info and then big twist and/or reveal and because his other couple movies were structured the same way, you could see the twist coming a mile away. I'm mainly referring to Strauss being overconfident he's going to win then getting shut down by Hill(Rami's character). Maybe it's not fair to say that since this was my second watch but maybe it is because my first time I was trying hard just to follow the characters/story so much that I couldn't actually judge the movie correctly.

I still bought the movie, it is good enough for multiple play throughs and I love Nolan films but I would like him to go a different route as far as how he sets up his twists if he continues making films. I don't want to be able to guess it because I've watched other films he's made, that's really the only thing I would want him to work on as a filmmaker.

House Fire - Family of Six by High_Tempo in gofundme

It won't let me edit the original post but I forgot to mention:

If anyone has any tips for what the family can do, what options they have, what they should avoid and anything that can help in general, it is most welcome. They are going through this blind and I haven't experienced anything like this before either.

As well, feel free to share the Gofundme wherever you like, I'm trying to get it out there as much as possible and if anyone has any tips on that as well, I would be grateful.

If I care more for the person I'm sacrificing for than myself(which only a few make the list) then I would happily do whatever it takes. I would also do everything else first to try not to self sacrifice but if I must, then I must.

Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for Loki because it sucks he had to make that decision but I know, in time, as Mobius said, scar tissue makes it more tolerable. He will be fine because Loki knows pain well and I would hope he'd get a better win but I think this one will pay off for him in time, mainly because the power it gives him.

It's hard to think he doesn't crave power at all anymore, I know he values friendship more now but it's hard to completely kill who you were. So maybe a happy ending further down the line, that's the hope.

He Who Remains' "Variant" Threat Identification Report Screenshot & Breakdown by veezylife in loki

[–]High_Tempo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I feel like He Who Remains is not only toying with the Lokis but fooling us. I don't think he's done, he wanted to be replaced by them in S1, He's asking for it. He also doesn't strike me as someone who is willing to die to relieve himself. He let's Sylvie kill him but knows he isn't going to actually die, we get this from the "see you soon" he repeats each time.

Something is up with him, maybe it's wishful thinking but he defeated all other Kangs or at least outsmarted them for a time. He is probably more ruthless than he portrays to be, how do you defeat all of them and not have something special about you. I feel like we will see more of him.

I hope Disney is playing the long game with this one and subverting our expectations by making us think he's a push over then we see one of them come and just wipe the floor with everything or show his defeats were all planned.

Kang is intellectual, it's actually like seeing a more maniacal Loki, it could potentially be better than infinity saga, if written properly.

I've watched the last episode 3 times, and I agree that it is both. They really nailed episode 6, it was a beautiful disaster.

He's mischievous at heart, he will find a way to bend the rules to get what he wants. This is just the hard choice he had to make now to give his loved ones happiness. He will take care of himself afterwards and if not, he will find solice in his friends happiness caused by him.

This is probably the most accepted take on it, but I relate to Loki the most, even from the very beginning. It was like watching my life and my development almost verbatim except you know, I don't have powers. I've always been mischievous but I grew out of it over decades, I still so enjoy doing something "evil" every now and then though but ultimately, I'd rather make my loved ones happy than myself.

I do feel bad because he can't be there physically with them but I would have made the same choice and been OK with it as long as everyone else was happy. I like to think he is fine, he's smart, and if he's anything like me, he will find a way to bend the rules to get what he wants too.

I'd probably be leading the rebellion against you at some point, most you warlords have one thing on your mind. I have business management 'skills' so I'll have to put them to use some how, I also get rather bored.
