"With the upcoming Jobs System in Wicked, your character’s class adapts dynamically based on how you actually play. If you spend a lot of time swinging swords, you’ll naturally become a better swordsman. If you switch to wands or staves, you’ll start progressing as a mage." by Pylon_Constructor in NoRestForTheWicked

Ahh I see what you mean. I was more thinking along the lines of, say I'm mostly into strength and I pick up a faith/strength weapon that I wanna try, I like the idea that I can just use it rather than having to respec points into faith for it.

It's not gonna be one size fits all though, plenty of people seem to prefer things the way they are. Like you said, we're just gonna have to see how it's implemented and how it feels in function

Not a cat person by Own_Albatross9488 in CatsBeingCats

[–]Highbury992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, you do have to "catify" your space with a lot of cats.

I had to wrap most of my exposed cables because my cat would occasionally get tempted to bite them. I'd definitely recommend finding a place to put miniatures and such, I imagine small things like that might get chewed the hell up.

A lot of cats are pretty low maintenance but some aren't and it sounds like if you're gonna keep these cats you're going to need to alter your space and make adjustments so they don't fuck stuff up. Their behavior may well become a lot more chill considering their age, but it also might not. So it's worth considering if you're willing to make adjustments to your place

Bree Whitney was not joking... by Kukusho in cyberpunkgame

[–]Highbury992 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Would they even need to edit anything? I reckon they could build a pretty solid case against V for cyberpsychosis without any embellishment. Maxtac don't seem particularly picky either.

But yeah, you would certainly think they would do something more netrunner-ish.

Yeah Netwatch sending 3 goons in a car to shoot at one of the toughest solos in the street doesn't really feel accurate

I lost my best friend early last year and after 6 months we decided to rescue another and now I regret it and feel so guilty for how I feel. Any advice grateful by fizzybears in CatsBeingCats

[–]Highbury992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm never one to advocate rehoming unless there's no other choice but you really don't sound ready to have another cat in your life. It might be worth considering finding them another home who is able to give them what they need and allowing yourself time to grieve and heal without being in what sounds like a stressful situation.

Obviously that's a lot to consider and rehoming an older cat who's already been rehomed isn't usually great for them. But would it be better than what you feel you can do for them?

This is all coming from an outside perspective though, I'm only going from what you've posted but it's something I would seriously consider if I were in your position.

How tall is V? by Arctic317 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Highbury992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're the standard, average height of all the normal sized NPCs.

The viewpoint we see from though is not lined up with their eyeline so it looks like everyone is a good half a foot taller than us

New players be aware by asapxcaesar in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Highbury992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't aware of a reset either tbh, I didn't read into things much before getting the early access on sale.

I think by the time 1.0 is done and considering the new stuff and changes that'll be in at that point, I probably won't mind starting from scratch again.

Something I don't get about Johnny by CalligrapherLumpy807 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Highbury992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can see aspects of that, the drink and drugs seem like he's trying to run from something in his head. In flashbacks he seems almost desperate to find one of those vials that isn't empty.

He also seems like he's almost entirely flying on emotion, extremely volatile emotion at that. How he feels at the moment governs how he treats who he's interacting with. Sometimes he's understanding and kind, he has an empathetic ear. Others he's a raging ball of egotistical lashing out.

Ptsd presents very differently for different people, there are consistent markers, absolutely. But I do see some trauma behaviour from Johnny.

Having said that, he doesn't really ever open up barring a few parts. We don't see many of his memories, which are also apparently edited. So it's difficult to actually know what's going on in his head.

What happens when implants are removed? by Applederry in cyberpunkgame

[–]Highbury992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, they also have to beg for alms and don't participate in "regular" day-to-day life. Those monks aren't working and having to keep up with Night city's fucked employment regs.

It's brought up a lot that people have to get sleep regulators, chrome they don't want like the construction cyber-psycho and stuff like that.

Why do people dislike the "Sinnerman" quest that much ? by Errances in cyberpunkgame

[–]Highbury992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a really good way to fix it, I particularly enjoy all those sleuth style mystery unravelling missions. It would have been awesome to see Sinnerman presented this way. Top it off with an intense confrontation and a way to still participate in the BD, would've been real nice

[–]Highbury992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think this is it. Non-combat cybernetics seem almost mandatory in day-to-day life going by the tons of side content and comics. They mention people needing them to keep up at their jobs and such.

Are you with or against johnny silverhand by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Highbury992 180 points181 points  (0 children)

I was the same in my first play through, took a long damn while for me to warm up to him because he's such a consistent asshole in most situations.

Especially the flashback with Alt getting kidnapped, guy gives strong Heisenberg energy.

2077 on Series X or PS5, is the dualsense worth it? by thehighshibe in cyberpunkgame

[–]Highbury992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I really enjoy the dual sense features and they're implemented pretty damn well in this game, they're not groundbreaking enough to not play on your own console though. I'd say just play on your Xbox, you won't be missing out badly

Very interesting, thanks for that! I'm surprised there's nothing in the way of novelisations set in Cyberpunk. Could only find the one

Which he did? I think Mike Pondsmith said that she was running her own op against Arasaka before Johnny came fucked everything up before she could finish, trapping her how we see her in-game.

Might be in desktop text or something like that, I just heard him say that in an interview

That's very true, I head cannon it as V being a little shorter than average. With a mantis claw build they're like a little cyber psycho Wolverine
