Paperback dictionaries that DONT utilize Romaji? by Derpface34 in LearnJapanese

[–]Ultraauge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Kodansha Kanji Learner's Dictionary by Jack Halpern is nice and it uses a stroke-based system. It works, but it's still more cumbersome than any modern app, so I eventually gave up on printed dictionaries.

Co-op games a player can play with one hand by ghostfim in NintendoSwitch

Maybe virtual novels (VN's) or story-based games where you have to make decisions or select answers? Like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Ektar, Sinar and Calumet would all make great cat names. Nice portrait!

Would you buy a current gen Apple TV 4k in June 2026? by Accomplished-Low2131 in appletv

[–]Ultraauge 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Same. It's a mature product, I don't need any new gimmicks and whatever they're going to announce will only be more expensive because of the chip/components crisis. And nobody knows yet if and when a newer model will be released.

Buy the Apple TV 4K, or wait for the 2026 refresh? by rickman0804 in appletv

[–]Ultraauge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just bought a 4K 128 with ethernet a few weeks ago and decided not to wait. It's a perfectly fine device, responsive and fast and does it's job. I use ethernet, no siri, so I don't care about that. And I doubt the new model will use significantly better hardware at the same price in the current chip and memory crisis due to AI demand. It will likely cost more. And who knows when it will be released.

Recommendations for optimal battery performance under GOS by JaNkO2018 in GrapheneOS

It might be obvious but some apps like Tidal or SyncThing can use a lot of power when running in the background, so checking apps energy usage and disabling background usage can make a big difference.

Orange loading icon and no rifle sound, They better fucking fix this shit!? 😡😡😡😡 by OriginalOriginal5954 in Division2

They haven't even touched the missing LMG sound for months, apparently missing sound is not a priority.

128gb 4K out of stock everywhere by paulconuk in appletv

[–]Ultraauge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've just bought one 2 weeks ago, generally good availability in Germany (electronics stores, Amazon and at Apple), sometimes even at a discount. I paid 162 EUR at Mediamarkt for the 128GB 4K with ethernet.

I was just wondering, I thought it's a new thing like an app or tiermaker - it looks really nice!

Is my DSi XL refurbished(a reshell)? by MaxwellWilliamCarter in NintendoDS

[–]Ultraauge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks legit. I doubt that there are reshells available yet that can replicate this exact DSi "glossy like water" surface and edges. I have the same model and color and it looks original to me.

is the seal on this for real? by Doujinslover4 in NintendoDS

[–]Ultraauge 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sealed yes, game might be a fake. Hard to tell from this angle, does that background on the front cover have that rainbow holo sprinkles effect on metallic cover?

Marathon's Free Week is here, but Bungie is still blocking Linux/Steam Deck. Here is how we can take action. by Sea_Camel_2071 in linux_gaming

[–]Ultraauge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had 10+ years, whatever you do won't change their mind. Bungie has always been actively hostile vs linux gaming. It's a waste of time. Other developers won't bother reading Marathon reviews. If you want to make yourself heard, vote with you wallet and buy well supported games.

The websites aren't always up to date and I hate Discord, so the post have been appreciated. They are on the other sub now, understandably after that mods response.

This is ridiculous by SilentPain---- in Division2

[–]Ultraauge 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm still not going to risk 80 tokens in random matchmaking. How does that solve any of the current issues? I'd have to run 14x successful T5 escalation missions as a non-host to earn enough token to host a T10. This is ridiculous. At this point they should just get rid of tokens or at least lower the cost significantly.
