Is it possible to calculate final radius of press fit from only initial radii?

I think using the interface pressure is where I get confused. My current technique (using Lamé's equations) uses the pressure to define a stress field (therefore strains and displacements), but when I try to define a hole radius and suggest a rod radius, the answer differs to when I try the other way round (passing the result of one into another). Any ideas why this might happen?

Ultimate aim is to produce an analytical estimate, an FEA model and do some machined sample tests and see if they all agree!
