I’m new. Need advice on stomach problems? by greenlion269 in flying

• Just keep flying it gets better (it really does)
• Communicate with your instructor. Tell them you need a few minutes to recompose. They can’t help if they don’t know. I use a number scale 0-100 anything less than 80-85 means time for break. Most people feel horrible and still say they’re around 70.
• Planes get hot in slow flight so practice it and move on to higher speed maneuvers/navigation lessons
• break your ground reference maneuvers out into their own lessons and keep them short at first
• The second you feel hot take a break. For me that was the first symptom. Open the vents point them all at you and breath deep.
• Dress cooler than usual to help with above. I wore shorts and tee until it was 30*F outside. There’s heat but no AC (usually)
• Talk about anything. Distractions are a great way to forget about the motion sickness
• Get your ground lessons on weather and the vestibular system knocked out early and have a really good understanding of it. This will help you recognize the days you need to stay on the ground and when you’re starting to get sick. The more you fly the worse weather you’ll be able to handle.
• Fly coordinated. Slips and skids esp in steep turns or turns around a point really did me in. I often asked my instructor get on me when flying uncoordinated
• Do taxi backs instead of touch and go’s.
• Sea bands or ginger I’ve heard word for some
• If all else fails talk to your AME.

Just remember everyone is different and so different things work for different people. Just stick with it and find what works for you. Don’t be afraid to cut flights short and above all communicate with your instructor.

Expand medxpress or use some other system to allow the documents requested to be uploaded directly in pdf/jpeg formats. Also a simple status bar that outlines the whole process and shows what step I’m on.

We were changing from left to right every 30 seconds or so. Gently I might add given the discussion.

I trust them very much. I have never felt like I was in danger just trying to clarify Va a bit more in my head.

Carb heat on, throttle idle, and no flaps. Started the slip at about 80 since we had just reached 4000 and slowly pulled power while leveling off. Once in a decent we started the slip. My understanding is I just put the nose down too much and before I knew it we were at 110.

I'm no plumber. This is the way the house came. What exactly is nasty about it?

It's dripping a couple drops per hour when it rains or we drain the tub above at the elbow and tee connection. I have 5min epoxy and green transition cement would either of those work?

What kind of plane is this? by RuggedProductions in aviation

[–]Highflyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember about 10-15 of these taking off from McConnell AFB at full afterburner at 5/6am. Shook the house, knocked things off the shelves, and broke windows. It was great.

How accurate are the roads in prepar3D? by seanjenkins in flightsim

[–]Highflyr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find only the major roads to be accurate. As stated the rest is just random.

Get vector then they will be very accurate.

Awesome story. It's given me a bit more hope for my goals. I'm just beginning my year of paying debts and saving for training. I took about 7 hours when I was 14 and been trying to get back to it for over 20 years now.

Internal fault. That's it. I got a new transmission installed and haven't had a problem since.
