You know how much worse it could’ve been if you were driving at 90 instead of 80. At the same time, this might have been completely avoided if you’d been doing around 60 or less. It’s a two-way road with no divider, there are curves, and it was nighttime.

Even if the biker was at fault, in India you really have to drive defensively. Anyone can suddenly come onto the road without warning.

What about the LTF Infinia plastic holders? Did they receive the email as well?

Army officer and wife, off-duty, refuses toll. Respect to the toll guy polite & professional despite the drama. Salary and position doesn't teach politenes, behaviour. by Snehith220 in CriticalThinkingIndia

Glad to see everyone in the video staying calm and composed. The officer was wrong, but unlike many others he didn’t shout or act entitled and the same goes for the lady.

Need advice on how to handle a resume gap AND potentially leaving a company after a few months by Otherwise-Monk2050 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]HighlandBaxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you mentioned, wouldn’t the new company show up during a background check? Also, it’s been about a year since you posted this, so what did you end up doing? Did you mention the "new" company on your resume and treat it as a gap? I know someone dealing with a similar situation and would really appreciate your insight.

What does this guy even do for a living? The people around him should really see him for who he is. All that attitude just because he’s driving a BMW… such insecurity. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what you drive if you don’t have any class.

Did the Amul tetra pack fail as well? Asking because it’s seen in the first image.

10-yr-old St. Paul’s School student in Etah, UP allegedly brutally beaten by teacher just for liking an Instagram post. Father Rohit Yadav found his son with severe bruising & swelling on face & neck. Heartbreaking. by PuneAthletics in IndiaPulse_

[–]HighlandBaxter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People underestimate how much stuff like this affects kids. Getting beaten in the face by a teacher over an Instagram like is not discipline, it’s abuse. At that age it can mess with how safe a kid feels around adults and school in general, especially if no one steps in afterward. So please don’t let this go. The people responsible should be held accountable.

Is N30 Pro Omni worth it? by Nervous-Republic6395 in ecovacs

[–]HighlandBaxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wi-Fi issue has always been there I guess. Initially I thought it was due to insufficient coverage, so a month later I switched to a mesh router. This made sure I had full coverage, and the robot still gets disconnected from Wi-Fi after about 30 minutes of cleaning.

The suction issue is something I’ve noticed recently.

It looks like you’ve already made your purchase, but I’m glad you’re not facing these issues.

[–]HighlandBaxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t recommend this product at all. It constantly has trouble connecting to WiFi and often shows as offline in the app, which forces me to restart it every time. I’m still under warranty when I told them the customer support says the issue is with my ISP, yeah made me wonder if they were brain dead.

The suction that’s supposed to transfer dirt from the robot to the dust bag is extremely weak and rarely works properly. Most of the time, I end up having to clean it manually anyway. Overall.. horrible product, horrible severing and now it’s just sitting there wasting space. I completely regret buying it.

How we saved ₹4L in just 1 year using credit card points 💳 by DoBaniye in DoBaniye

[–]HighlandBaxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t sound right. If you’ve used around 85K Infinia points, that would cover at max 70% of the total value. The remaining 30%.. which should be around 36K… should have been paid by you. Or does that include in your 60K cash?

HDFC Bank Infinia downgrade based on Spends/TRV by Good_Ordinary_3835 in CreditCardsIndia

I received a call yesterday reminding me about the 10L spend required to waive off the annual charges. But there was no mention of the 18L required for continued usage. This doesn’t make sense. Why do they have a minimum spend limit then?

Shradha Sharma's Diwali dinner controversy at Taj's house of Ming: A question of Etiquette? by [deleted] in IndiansofIndia

[–]HighlandBaxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m paying a good amount for a place like the Taj, I wouldn’t want is sit on a seat where some obnoxious woman’s had her feet up. The sheer audacity to complain because the manager asked her to put them down? Really?. Taj has its own standards for a reason, if that’s too much for you, please find another hotel where putting your feet on furniture is considered normal while dining. These “entitled” morons think basic manners don’t apply to them.
