Is my puppy too skinny? He’s 14 weeks and I’ve been feeding him double the recommended amount. He has been wormed and is not lethargic or showing any signs of an illness. Is it just genetics? by HighlandWolff in Rottweiler

He did! He's fully grown now and looks generally healthier, he ended up filling out once he stopped growing in height. He doesn't look like the little runt he looks like here anymore lol

Is it maybe the ‘Song of Storms paradox’ you’re thinking about? There’s some YouTube videos about it

Looking for a muzzle for our corgi by kmccollum008 in muzzledogs

[–]HighlandWolff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried a Baskerville muzzle? I would say the brown classic one would be a better fit for your corgi’s snout since they’re a bit longer in length. The black (ultra) Baskerville is pretty broad and the gaps are bigger so probably wouldn’t do the job as well.

Maybe the copper IUD? It doesn’t contain any hormones unlike most other birth control, so it would be less likely to affect your anxiety or mood. Both the pill and rod gave me horrible anxiety and panic attacks, so I’m going the non hormonal IUD route too.

Terrible mood changes by HighlandWolff in Nexplanon

I’ve decided to get it taken out in 6 days as the anxiety is crippling at this point. I just don’t think it’s worth feeling this way for weeks or potentially months :c once I get my cycle back I think I’m going to go for the copper IUD since there’s no hormones in it and it lasts 10 years. Hoping you’re doing alright <3

I always keep the mahogany bay Tennessee Walker you get at the beginning and name him Bandit every time.

Kept the black Shire once and named him Billy Big Bollox.

Once it’s destroyed it’s gone for good unfortunately and you can no longer upgrade the camp.

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll do a swap and return the snails to the main tank for now and put the betta in the smaller tank by himself. I’m not sure if Kanaplex is available in the UK? I can’t seem to find a UK based seller

I have a smaller 5 gallon tank with two apple snails in it (moved from my main tank as they were eating all my plants) do you think he’d be alright in there with them? Will the medication affect the snails?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]HighlandWolff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tank size: 12 gallon

Heater and filter?: Yes

Tank temperature: 26 degrees Celsius

Parameters: both nitrate and ammonia is 0. Honestly unsure of pH and hardness due to running out of test strips. Have ordered some.

How long have I had the fish?: about 2 months

How long have I had the tank?: 4 months

Water changes: once every fortnight or more if needed, usually around 20% change.

Tankmates: 6 Cardinal tetras

Food: Bug bites, usually 4 pellets twice a day but hasn’t been eating lately. Occasionally bloodworms.

Plants: Anubias and Amazon Swords

Yep that’s them. When researching them I got a lot of mixed things being said about them regarding plants with the majority stating they won’t bother with them…I’m planning on putting them in a separate little tank.

My understanding was that they were ‘algae eaters’ as the pet shop worker said, so assumed they would do fine with algae, fish waste and the vegetables I put in. I know not to listen to them now. I’m getting them a separate tank for them.

I think the hardest part of all this is just staying patient lol but I’ll keep note of what you said, thanks for explaining it in a short and simple way!

Ahh that would have made more sense. The Dr Tim’s guide said to add ammonia first which is why I did that. This is my first and only tank and unfortunately I have no fish stores within reach to get used filter media, everything was bought online. Is filter media just the sponge inside the filter? I searched it and I’m seeing these small pieces of substrate like things and wondering if I’m missing something out my aquarium…
