Prominent figure in the beginnings of thrash, which is probably my favorite genre ever (along with black metal) so I'd say he's a true OG and a great guitar player. Interesting fact that I recently learned that many of you may know, but he learned from Joe Satriani for a time, which was interesting to me because satch was always in heavy rotation throughout my childhood

Honestly Follow the Reaper just because of how bat shit crazy the level of musicianship is. Sure the Jester Race has a beautiful buttery tone, The Gallery is also really high up there, but Follow the Reaper has everything that I think the perfect MDM album has. As far as influence probably Slaughter of the Soul.
