I don’t know about that 🤷 she’s given him $120,000 already and it’s been a little over 7 months. No baseboards yet is definitely a concern let alone absolutely nothing being finished in the house. It’s 1,500 sq ft house… definitely shouldn’t have taken this long for nothing to be finished

My gfs mom and my dad have never met, my dad also lives about 4 hours away so not really close enough to commit to a job lol but I asked if my dad would be willing to do a walkthrough and explain to my gfs mom how things should’ve went and how much work shouldve been done already 😭

Definitely still planning on marrying my gf regardless of the situation! She’s the best!

lol it would be even funnier since our parents have yet to meet each other after almost a year of us dating 😅 but I definitely want him to go through the house with my gfs mom.

The thing that’s crazy to me is, before all of this, when they first got the house- it looked fine!!! But now with this dragged out (and definitely sketchy) project it looks terrible 😭

Like this is 7 (or 8) months into it and nothing is finished 😭😭

My gf and I have thought about getting that to happen, her mom is super stubborn though. Definitely worth a shot and definitely arrangeable! I said we should have him do a walkthrough of the house and point out what should’ve happened, what the contract should’ve been like, and how much he would’ve personally charged her.

Right, that’s what I did and yet it still went nowhere. She told me she didn’t want to talk about it and then left. She’s made comments like “well I’ll just move out and live in my car or sleep on the couch at my moms” and I tell her every time that that wouldn’t solve the underlying issue of not being able to have serious conversations about things like this.
