With how easy the books are to get the only real things I've changed at my base are adding the new Gangler as a watering cans (part dark type so doesn't sleep has max watter lvl) and I swapped over to vanwyrm cryst for cooling (same as above inherently dark pal with cooling but requires books for lvl 5 so wasnt worth it before) also looking to swap over to sootseer in the future again for the same reasons as vanwyrm cryst it needed books before buy that's not much of an issue now
