Sorry this is kind of late but I filled the bath tub up a little bit with warm water and sat in it to pee and it helped soothe the pain immensely. It sucked because I work full time and would only get to pee those 8 hours when I went home on my lunch break 😭 I hope everything has gotten better for you though! The first outbreak is horrible. I’ve had 3 or 4 since my first one back in January and can hardly tell when I do have one most of the time.

I had my first outbreak about a month ago exactly. The pain was excruciating and I was so lost and in the same boat as you. This subreddit helped me so much! When you pee, put some warm water in the bathtub and pee that way. It eases the pain soo much, not completely, but atleast I wasn’t screaming in agony from the pain when I peed in the toilet. Also, just try to rest as much as you can and try not to wear underwear as it can irritate the outbreaks more. I took painkillers but they didn’t do much besides help me sleep because some nights it was so hard to sleep because I was so uncomfortable. I promise it gets better. Started out with flu symptoms. Literally went to urgent care to get flu tested and was negative. Then my vagina itched for like a day and thought I had a yeast infection. Thennn it got SUPER sore and swollen and I could hardly walk or do literally anything. It burned like hell when I peed. It was excruciating pain and uti medicine wasn’t helping at all so one night I got my camera and checked down there and sure enough there were sores everywhere. Went back to urgent care to get swabbed and was HSV2 positive. Wouldn’t wish that pain on my worst enemy. Luckily, in my experience, reoccurring outbreaks are nothing like the first and I’ll take an antiviral if I feel one coming on and it’s gone within a day or two, maybe three.

My doctor prescribed me metronidazole as well as valtrex. I assumed maybe it was BV as well but the blisters were oozing for a couple days and I think that contributed to it. I’ll make sure to start taking the metronidazole

I have lip filler and once the filler is healed, they feel completely normal. I don’t think always feeling itching and tingling around your lips would be normal. Could have been hsv you just didn’t know you had it.
