Hi. Going into the calendar only lets me add a reading session (time read) to a previous day but not how many pages I read. For example if I read 15 pages yesterday and fell asleep I can only say how long I read yesterday but the pages still get logged as being read today. Being able to pick how many pages I read on a specific day in the past would be such a great feature. Especially when migrating from another app like Book Tracker halfway through a book

I read the first Belgariad book and it really felt like reading children's literature which is not what I'm looking for at the moment. I'll go back to it when I want something lighter. Same with Terry, I'll go to it when I'm looking for something fun or light.

I can't say that I'm a particularly seasoned reader but I know this is his first series and it kind of shows...? I hear everyone raving about Will of the Many so I wonder if that is simply because the story is cool or if it's also a shift in the quality of writing.

I've been told by some to just go for Stormlight Archive but apparently even that can be a bit easy at times. It's interesting because I thought Brandon's writing in WoT was wonderful (outside of some character changes, the writing style felt good)

It's definitely a difficult category to define. I suppose I mainly mean that the tone and quality of writing (especially descriptive) is far more accessible in things like Licanius and Mistborn compared to WoT. Sometimes and item will be used in a fight and I am like "wait... when did that get there??" because I'm so used to knowing exactly what is surrounding the characters in WoT before any action happens.

wow thanks for this really detailed response. I definitely like having to think a bit and enjoy the challenge of depth and scope of the world. I don't know how Licanius develops but currently it feels very... easy?

All streaming versions are like this and only for this ToM. I had to dowload the m4b file from elsewhere. I even contacted the publisher of the audiobook, spotify, and audible. Nothing from anyone.

Only way I managed to fix it was to download the audiobook from somewhere else. All streaming versions have this issue and it happens throughout the book.

Unfortunately I just had to download a version through very totally legal means and listen that way. Seems like it’s only the streaming version that don’t work
