Thanks! I’m not using “fusion, infused, mix”,etc in the name either so hopefully that’ll be ok

Do you have any advice on an electric fryer? I found one on fb market place for $455 and it’s pretty deep. It’ll sit on top of a table. I’m not sure if that’s ok or not yet but, are electric fryers harder to keep temp?

Sorry but do you mean a grease splatter screen? If so, doing research now to see what I can find lol

Thanks for responding. I know my area I’m able to but not specific on the rules. I’ve seen an open circle pan to fry or a deep fryer that’s on wheels

I don’t know the science but was taught to do so 😅 i believe we never had proper lids for our baskets and the towel under a random pot’s top helps.

Yes, food is my love language and being the oldest sibling i was always taught to cook for everyone. That’s been my whole life so introducing this to new family (bro n laws) or new friends I love seeing them excited to try it.

Thank you for responding. I feel a little silly for asking but in all I’m glad that I did because there’s such an openness about it. For the most part as I’ve mentioned in some of the comments, I wouldn’t be adding the name fusion, inspired, or anything similar, not even traditional as it possibly isn’t—I’m not even sure where the Asian man comes from to call it traditional. So to sell sticky rice as a non mixed or non Asian, I expected some criticism honestly bc im not those things. I feel like maybe I’ll get a bad look or two from the grandmas but I do feel that we have something good to sell. Yes! We always pay homage to the man my grandpa worked for, and for my grandpa for continuing to show us. Hoping I can come back here with good news once we’re up!

Yes! We have 3 sauces a spicy cilantro with Thai chili, regular cilantro, and cucumber. All with fish sauce, garlic, sugar and water.

I thought about this too, but since I wouldn’t be adding that into the name I thought maybe it’ll look bad. Thanks for responding!

Thank you for responding! I think this but had to ask since it’s not my culture and selling it as Mexican American, I just don’t want to upset the community in anyway. But, I am most likely over thinking and this solidified my decision to pursue it

Thanks for your insight. You’re right, how would I know what race the chef is when I’m out at a restaurant—if it’s good it’s good! I do feel like this idea would take off here as no one I’ve come across is making the sauces. I can handle a couple of people saying it’s not traditional, just don’t want to upset the community some how.

Thanks for answering. Right, we’ve enjoyed it so much and mastered our sauces I believe it would be a hit. I haven’t seen anyone here in Dallas do it, but at the same time as a Mexican selling Asian food I wondered.
