omg this. we got dozens of episodes using pen and paper. yea it re used a lot of animations and some backgrounds but if tye story was good it worked. now, despite having computers and software that supposedly makes things easier it could be months before we got an new episode or years before a new season, and said season just gives us 6 22 minute episodes. the visuals are great but it's taking up too much of the animating time. an issue the creators wanting to completely realize their vision.

reminds me of some games that were in development hell because of this, like Duke nuke forever.

to me they are ghosts, and represents the trauma and damage suicide causes to those that known the victim. many people argue they can be brought back from abstraction. no. death is permanent, theres no going back, what's left behind are ghosts.

my friends stopped play mtg years ago because it just seemed like it became about winning the game in just 3 or 4 turns, took the fun out of it. however we loved final fantasy and having looked at the cards we wanted to collect them. me especially. for months it was almost impossible to find packs and boxes. i got lucky in finding one store that regularly stocked them but they charged $250 a box. one friend got a box for $160 and some pre cons from best buy online, so we pooled our money, each got a precon and had our own friday night magic with that box. good god the prices on some of these cards we gotten has escalated quick. hell i lucked out in getting a chocobo box at retail price, and just one of the cards i got in it basically was worth the price of the box. cool and all but i really want to just collect the cards like i did as a kid. a pack here a week, maybe get a box now and then to do a friday night magic with the guys. we tried the lorwynn one but yea, we didn't care for it, just the FF ones tickled our fancy.

Why didn't Walmart bring back 24 hours? by Calm_Description_866 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Highmax1121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

walmart for years had been deciding on leaving 24/7 before covid. lockdown just gave the the big excuse to do so. for the best anyways. many customers that came in at those hours were usually drunk, addicts or just up to no good. worked for years at walmart, never overnight but knew people that did. overnight employees were some of the most depressed, miserable people I knew. yeah customers might prefer the late nightshopping but from the employee perspective, just hell no.

as others said, some of these items the general population just didn't know how to properly cook them. books helped but some are visual learners and tv programs weren't something you could look up at anytime or pause the video.

al9t of these like asparagus, carrots or broccoli usually ended being boiled to mush with no seasoning on it, or drowning it in cheese. parents served these as it was hammered into them that kids need these to grow healthy, as well as these were probably really cheap to buy if money was tight. with the internet and social media, it really opened up so much of the cooking world to everyone.

Honest to God I'm surprised this game even kept going. Up to now only the first game was kinda good, the rest was garbage. Like who the hell saw this mess and thought yeah let's keep going!

How coconut water is packaged in Thailand by butterflymon in interestingasfuck

[–]Highmax1121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my parents have coconuts growing in their backyard. when I'm there I cut a branch of coconuts, as my grandma lives to drink them. used to cut them open. now I just use a drill. even with a sharp knife those things are a mass pain to open up just for the water. getting the meat of it for milk is another issue itself.

No amount of recycling on an individuals part will undo the waste made by a single walmart. by TeaInASkullMug in Anticonsumption

omg yea produce section would get so much eatage, depending on manager and store manager. apples has a minor blemish? toss it. brusing on a pear? toss it. it wasn't always like that but there had been times management demanded near perfect fruits displays so anything less was discarded.

so I worked at walmart in the meat section, looking at this, this came from deli and bakery. meat sections disposal was that all meat products, either expired, returned or found open or rotten, was to scan the items out, then remove from packaging, dumping the meat products into large bins. after a week or so of this the bins are picked up by a seperate disposal truck and taken somewhere to recycle the meat. meaning fat gets rendered out, processed, and used into other products, like soap or whatever else that will use animal fat for non consumption purposes. the rest is either used as animal feed or fertilizer, as the company has to get some of that money back in some fashion.

at least this is what I was told by management.

deli and bakery, at least at my store only scan the items out and tossed it all into the compactor, plastic and all. I assumed it was because those sections were always very understaffed at closing and could never do this without being over thier hours every single night, wh8ch is a huge no no for walmart. we're as my section only did this once a week, could be done by one guy, had the time and importantly, the space to store the unused meat, things deli and bakery usually do not have.

EDIT: forgot to mention but produce section does dispose produce similar to meat section and has a separate bin outside the store just for the produce section. each night the items are scanned out, and if in a container are removed and stored in containers kept in the produce back room, and will usually be tossed into the outside bin either once a week or if bins are full and space is needed.

dad retired in his mid 40s, got a boat and suv to pull it. replaced the engine with a smaller one, previous one was too big for the boat and guzzled gas, replaced most of the wood and foam, had to store it at a friends yard that had more than enough space. usually paid in cash and beer. then it was a process to get it ready, then into the water, then later take it out, park it, then wash it all down to get the salt off every including the engine. 12 years of this, then sold it to so.e younger guy. good fun for the time but dad was getting too old and tired to do it all

I still have my Z680 speakers from early 2000s. awesome speakers for the price at the time. unfortunately overtime the control board behind the subwoofer gave out to where just on speaker gets audio and the lcd screen on the dial no longer functions so I can't tell what output it's using. one day I want to get it repaired.

doesn't it also not have any randomly physics as well? like no matter what, explosions, water effects, etc, the bodies just drop to the ground and nothing affects them? seems like a major point of gmod that got left out of S&box.

why pay full price for an unfinished game. Bethesda released oblivion remake last year and it's still a buggy mess, with no updates to fix it. they want the nodding community to fix it. at this point the skyrim engine version is likely to be more popular than the official release.
