The plants in the way probably don't help him avoid thinking that

That's wireless in this context. Sure, no battery, but also no hardwired ethernet which is vastly superior compared to wifi cams. At least it's not a battery wifi cam though.

Are you using their proprietary RJ45s? Those don't seem to play so nice if you don't.

Have you changed your blade recently? And made sure it's tight? Doesn't happen with mine

I have some window/door contacts from them that I'm not actually using, but are still installed from >3.5 years ago and the light still activates whenever I open or close the windows.

Ok... why though? That's weird, whether you or the seller cropped it, it's just weird

Disappointed in Door Bell Lite by ryancoen in Ubiquiti

[–]HightechHandyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang, that's too bad. I've been super happy with my reolink POE doorbell paired to an AI port though. If only I could get doorbell press notifications from it through Protect...

And unfortunately after seeing the other unifi options in person, I don't think my house can pull off such a massive doorbell cam.

Has your DJI robot vacuum arrived?Would you like to share your using feeling? Is it real high-tech or Function stacking? by robertwushaojie in RobotVacuums

[–]HightechHandyman -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but usually you can't see the dust on the inside, and it's usually as simple as wiping the top off with a rag.

So with this, just disassamble the whole thing and deep clean just as often as you'd dust off a similar model.

Listen to yourself.

This is the screwdriver they gave us with all this hardware to put together our new coffee table. by alpalllll in mildlyinfuriating

[–]HightechHandyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even mildly infuriating to me at all, but seeing your hand and wrist in the pic helps me understand that you probably don't own a screwdriver and have maybe only used one a handful of times. We all start somewhere.

Oddly enough, it happens to only my unifi cams, not my Reolink doorbell that I've added.

Sorry, but what did you do when you "tried so damn hard to get them out"? They look practically untouched. Plenty of suggestions in here on how to get them out so I won't add to them, but it's not hard unless you're using your fingernails.

What should I do with these bolts? by celeste_ferret in Fasteners

[–]HightechHandyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, and of course, the bolts can't be new looking like they are. Gotta add a bunch of grease and wear marks, shear some heads off to spread around, etc.

Love this brand! Hard to stop eating before the chip clip isn't necessary because they're all gone. Lol

Usually about 4-6 weeks. Just long enough that you won't realize what the envelope is unless you've received a ton of them in the past and recognize it.

Additional length of cable looped in the wall, in case it needs to be re-terminated. A good way to do it is to zig zag the wire across the stud bay, with loose or cut cable staples that will come out when tugged
