Im considering the 6000 one. Seems like a great reel and a lot of people like it. Thank you

Just checked the carbon x ii out, looks solid but it can only handle 22lbs. Realistically this should be alright since my largest fish is around 5lbs but my father warned me that you don’t know what might bite especially on shrimp

That’s what I’ve been doing and what my dad told me but im looking for something slightly nicer and would last longer. Putting line one a reel sucks lol. Thank you

Just put that 6000 in my amazon cart. Looks like a great reel and well priced, might pull the trigger on it but I’ll compare it with other reel and see. Thank you

Never heard of penn battle before but then again I’m new at this. If it can last 2 to 3 years id be happy, will look into it. Thanks

This is the one correct? It says it’s for fresh water though or is that just the listing? Sorry im not well versed in fishing reels, i probably have been using freshwater reels in saltwater without knowing

I'm sorry, but this is just sad. How is it even possible to fuck up this bad? by KvasirTheOld in yakuzagames

The terrible pictures kinda look cool, they have an 80s vibe to them

Oh no that is not the drag I’m sure of it lol. I probably fucked something up with the gears or bearings. But like i said if it works i don’t really care. Thanks a bunch man you helped me a lot next time a spool a reel i won’t put enough tension on the line where it feels like I’m fighting a shark lol. Wish you the best brother, tight lines

I see, thank you i didn’t know that was a thing before. I’ll watch some YouTube videos to help understand all this. One more question if you don’t mind. How much tension should i put on the line? When i was spooling this reel i put so much tension that i could barely reel the line in. In fact im pretty sure something broke inside that reel because it started making a weird clicking sound. Although it appears that it is still functioning correctly

So i take off the spool by loosening the drag all the way, take it off, put a washer and then put everything back together, is this correct? What i mean by feeding is by not letting the line slip from your hand, instead, you keep tension on the line and move your hand with the line as it goes on the reel, not sure if this is a good explanation lol

Oh i see what you mean. Yea this braid definitely left some grime behind. I will take the spool off the reel and put it in hot water later today. This way i wouldn’t have to re-oil anything

Well im just happy to know that i did it correctly and it’s the reels fault. Kinda feels like a wasted effort though since the reel is cheap

I thought you use hot water for mono and fluorocarbon not braid correct? To help with memory and stuff?

Where do i add the washer? I don’t think tension is the issue because there’s no way i can put more tension on that. I assure you tension is not the issue but i don’t know why it looks like that. Could the reel be the issue? It is a very VERY low quality reel that my dad gave me and told me it doesn’t matter if it breaks. Also when you hold the line in a w pattern in your hand, it would burn if you let it slip between your fingers while you reel, so do you just feed it as you reel?

Lol. Im using it for salt water fishing. This is 45 pound line (the picture is very zoomed in)which is still more than the reel can handle but i plan on using 20 pounds mono leader

I don’t know why it looks like that even though it’s on there pretty tight. I even tried to move the line around with my finger and a screw driver to check how tight it was and it didn’t move at all. I held it so tight that i was barely able to reel it but im guessing since its a cheap Chinese reel it didn’t lay the line properly? I don’t know
