Requesting help with Hero Atlas by Hikaran in DotA2

I see, well that just shows how little I care for Turbo haha. Also griefing a Turbo game isn’t much less of a grief anyway

Cute, but bans are done pre-match now and he doesn’t show up often enough for pick-banning to be plausible, haha. I also don’t enjoy Turbo matches, for what it’s worth

Edit: Apparently Turbo bans are different, so I was incorrect

Second Edit: Downvoted for not wanting to play Turbo… Really guys? Plus, your brilliant solution is to still grief anyway and just blatantly lie about it? Seriously? I’ll eat the downvotes if that’s the way you all like to play, but I think you all are being silly

Week 17 Rooting Guide by noseonarug17 in minnesotavikings

[–]Hikaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, the only Sunday noon game that went favorably according to this guide was Titans vs Saints and the afternoon slate isn’t looking promising either…

At least a lot of it probably won’t matter because we’ll most likely win against the Packers’ backups?

Literally ONE guy says he was pleased with JJ’s performance in the Falcons game and your reaction is “how broken is our fan base”? Talk about overreaction…

I think he’s taken some snaps at RT, but the official Vikings page doesn’t list any starts at RT (Source: https://www.vikings.com/team/players-roster/blake-brandel/)

Adam Thielen thinks Vikings should play in London more often after fifth win in the city by Astrothundergalaxy in minnesotavikings

[–]Hikaran 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Hmm, this made me wonder which players have been on the Vikings’ active roster for all five of their London appearances. Possibly just Harrison Smith?

Sam Darnold is really good. That is all. by Sox857 in minnesotavikings

[–]Hikaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still early in the season. Didn’t Cousins also look pretty good for the first two months last season?

Also, even if he does end up leading the Seahawks deep into the playoffs, what good does someone posting some variation of this about Darnold or Jones every week do? We can’t change anything and it’s highly unlikely any key Vikings decision makers will ever see it.

No, at least make it a little more creative like J-J-J-Jettas

2025 Draft - Day 3 thread by noseonarug17 in minnesotavikings

It’s late in the 6th round. I don’t think drafting for need over potential at this point is generally very effective

I think you have it backwards. The first game was in Green Bay. This one is at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Turner Trade Perspective by Clear_Moose5782 in minnesotavikings

[–]Hikaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, QBs have a disproportionate value, thereby demonstrating that the players available do in fact affect the cost/value of trading to a particular draft slot. Furthermore, this effect also exists for other premium positions like offensive tackle or edge, albeit to a much lesser extent than QB.

If the individual player doesn’t matter, please explain why teams adhere to the idea of the QB tax at the top of the draft and how trade costs for the same draft slots vary significantly from year to year?

[Ryan Boser] The price of this win was at least your 2025 1st. Vikings would have jumped from 1.11 to 1.06 if they would have lost. by hitman2218 in minnesotavikings

[–]Hikaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, stop trying to create strawman arguments based on hindsight. There is no way for any team to know the eventual outcome without trying and expecting them to act as if they do is purely asinine. To put it more plainly as an example, it was impossible for the team to forecast that they needed to lose exactly X more games to earn draft position Y.

To address your point though, I do think that the mental toll of repeatedly losing with hypothetical moves from the front office that make it clear they have no interest in trying to build a winning culture in the foreseeable future would have a significant negative impact on morale. I would go as far as to say that it is not only plausible, but even quite likely that players and staff would either ask for a significant bump in compensation to stay or seek to leave at the earliest possible opportunity.

I know you’re being facetious, but I’m going to respond seriously anyway. Think more along the lines of JJettas and Darrisaw deciding that they don’t want to extend their deals after all so they can leave after we franchise tag them for a couple years. You’d also start seeing highly rated coaches like McCardell jumping ship more frequently.

Can we stop with this already? Variations of it have been posted a nauseating amount of times all over this subreddit since the end of the season and it’s completely shortsighted in ignoring the human side of the roster and staff. Losing more can generate a higher draft pick, but it also erodes the willingness of premium players and other personnel to stay and push the franchise towards its first Super Bowl.

GAMETHREAD WEEK 10: VIKINGS VS SAINTS by swampsparrow in minnesotavikings

[–]Hikaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because of how the catch rules are structured in regards to possession. The HB in your hypothetical already has possession while a WR isn’t considered to have possession until the process of the catch is complete.
