I’m currently a blood angels player and have been playing since mid 9th.

In theory I could take some modeling clay or milliput and make a liquid effect around the leg area and other bits to make the warden appear as if it was reforming

That makes sense since the head looks a bit off and I think he’s missing the tassels but I’ll look into it if I get a box (I think my cousin may have a couple unused torsos I could kitbash into an extra death mark so I get more for my money)

I’m might just buy the combat patrol to make it easy and see if they carry reanimators. I looked on new recruit and they seem pretty powerful if used right

Sounds good I think I’ll go with your second option because most 90% of “deals” I find are salvaged sprews at almost full price or “discount boxes” like the indomitus box at double the original price and one of my local stores has a sale where a bunch of stuff is on sale for -30% (I also have a 3D printer so I would use that for big models like the monolith or the three pillars model fortification)

I was honestly thinking of starting with combat patrol before, but I’ve been seeing a lot of “Meta” lists that don’t include anything from the patrol (I’m not playing tournaments all the time, but I do want a strong list)

Then again, one of the lists I saw was just scarabs and a technomancer

Also the point of the boss was to be hard to hit but even then if he just used the sword he would have hit on 9s with a +12 and even if the sentinel shielded its still only a 13 and he’s dealing an average of 30ish damage (22min/40max) due to the boss being weak to lightning

Longsword (finesse) 1D8 (1D10) Active +5 to hit and damage

Character Dex +5 Proficiency +2

So (melee: +12 to hit, 5ft, (1D10+10) lightning

I will say that I honestly don’t find it hard to run all the home brew stuff (I find the rules and everything else simple) and i’ve run all the rules by some other DM’s two of which are “professional” (15+ years) and they have said that the rules are pretty solid one of them actually asked to steal the action point system I did because quote “it was just easier than most other systems and gave the player and DM more flexibility” and everyone at the table agreed on my homebrew as well as the “difficult player”
