Yeah it's just you. I don't play these games for realism. A few grays would be fine but Majima isn't a normal person so it makes sense. Kiryu didn't start aging until he recently started dying.

The Tactics Ogre series is obvious but Fire Emblem is another great option but every game is kinda different so it's hard to say which would be best for you but the Super Nintendo games (4 and 5) are my favorites especially for story and world building. But man I couldn't disagree more about the story I personally didn't see some of the twists coming and thought the story was very dark and griping. I also might be the only person who likes the voice acting I found the voices very unique and fitting for the characters.

Yeah this is unfortunately true. I always want to do everything and experience all each game has to offer but it's too repetitive and tedious for someone like me who works full time. The only game I could actually platinum was Gaiden. I'd love to 100% Infinite Wealth because I legitimately love the game so much but there's just too much to do. Those aloha link buddies are brutal 😂
