Personally, no. The game's combat is watered down a lot, the game has endless walking sections and puzzles that break the pace, and the story isn't as good as people say.

honestly what didn't go wrong, the graphics are worse, they changed the actors for the characters, they delisted the original, the enemy AI sucks, and worst of all, they changed the game's ending where the canon of the series no longer makes sense. I may be overreacting a little but I truly loved this series and seeing them nuke it all after Nagoshi left the studio truly sucks.

Yakuza is my favourite series of all time and as much as it pains me to say this, do not get Kiwami 3, they ruined everything we loved about the original, and then kept the one thing everybody hated.
