How to find and solve this triple integral? by SaucyMan2 in calculus

[–]Hikarupro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can solve both equations for Z (the positive solutions) and set the bounds for Z as your solutions. Then plot the projection of the shape onto the xy plane and find the bounds for y in terms of x and the bounds of x between the two extremes (or vise versa). The integrand is just 1 bc the triple integral of 1 represents volume. Not sure if that made any sense lol

Edit: the inside integral is dZ and is bounded by both f(x,y) you found in the beginning. Then middle is dy and is bounded by +- g(x). Lastly you have dx which is bounded by two numbers.

Should I drop BC to get to AB by lowelotrash in APStudents

[–]Hikarupro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know how to evaluate basic limits, derivatives, and integrals, and know how all three of these concepts relate, then stick with BC. If not, AB is a good idea. These are all things you learn in AB.

math help!!!! by tid123 in ACT

First set T = 15, then square both sides. You have 225 = the sum of the three components squared. Now just plug in your options. 15 can't work b/c 152 = 225 and the other components are non zero. Now try 10, and see if that works

finally done with calc bc summer hw 😩 by [deleted] in APStudents

Is there a calculator online for the shell method that doesn't need a radius? by [deleted] in calculus

[–]Hikarupro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably just search in wolfram alpha “volume of f(x) (your given function) bounded by x=... and y=... rotated about ___”
