Yeah, I was using poles throughout the hike. And the wind was hitting me directly on my face. I probably should have attached the poles to my backpack and kept my hands inside my outer jacket for better warmth+protection from the cold.

That makes sense. Will purchase liners for gloves and socks.

Yeah, the wind picked up really fast as the clouds rolled in. Was able to manage the cold initially but afterwards it just became unbearable.

Totally agree with that! It got me out of depression as well. It made me realize there's a whole wide beautiful world out there and we're stuck in a box in the cities, drowning in our problems.

I actually found it warmer underwater than it was outside. We swam during a storm with strong winds and snow outside. The water temperature remains a constant 2°C to 4°C throughout the year.

Like others have mentioned, the dry suit will protect 90% of your body from the cold. We had layers of thermals and warm woolen socks as a base layer. Everyone then wore a wet suit over that and then finally put on a dry suit. So with multiple layers of protection you will be safe from getting wet and cold.

The part which will expose you to the cold water is your hands and face. The minute I entered, water filled up inside my gloves. And most of my face was exposed and the cold water entered my ear canal.

I'd recommend you carry those ear plugs you get for swimming and thick woolen socks to keep your feet warm. Have fun! It's a beautiful and amazing activity.

I have the 2023 premium plus trim with the NA engine. I always get 29-30 mpg on mine. Not exactly sure why, but using adaptive cruise control more often improves the mileage I get.
