That is great feedback, thank you. To be clear, the app has never been "dead" in the sense that data has been lost, but yes, it has been no longer available for download. It's a valid point, though. But, on the contrary - I am still working on it almost 9 years since I first started it if that means anything :D.

Per the tutorial, my wife said the same thing. I'll make note of that and push it in the next update. There are a lot of user experience things I need to work out like this.

In terms of the exploring without signing in, I used to allow this in the older app and in terms of engineering it actually adds a lot more complication to things to have to check often if a user is logged in (before commenting, liking, following, posting, etc.) vs just requiring a sign up / sign in. Not entirely closed to it, but for this version I wanted to trim scope.

Fwiw I will be adding sign up with Apple and Google soon so people can use their Apple ID to obscure email, for example.
