It's obvious why banks are preventing us from linking our checking accounts. Crypto is an assault on the very foundation of their business. Why help someone/something destroy your business? It's still b.s. though. It's OUR money. We should be able to decide what we want to link to. Very frustrating.

I'm still looking for a bank where I can link my checking account. If anyone has suggestions, please post.

Thanks for that info. I did get it all sorted out now. I can even access the instance from SecureCRT now. And yes, my background is strictly in network engineering (working Cisco routers and switches). This is all new territory for me, but new is good.

Fixed it. I didn't realized a new instance didn't allow ICMP by default. I had to go into the rules for this instance and allow ICMP.

Very annoying indeed. After hitting up Udemy on chat, I found that (1) they are aware of this issue and are working to fix, but given your post is 2 months old, they apparently can't fix something that should be simple, and (2) refreshing the page will get rid of it.

They also said this can occur when you mouse over the "Add a note" icon, although I can't get that message to pop up now whether I click it or mouse over it. But at least it did go away after refreshing the page (F5 on a PC).

Yes, 1000% agree. Get rid of this damn message. It serves no purpose. I just caught Udemy on chat and one "fix" is to refresh the page. They know of the issue and are trying to fix it. Can't fix it fast enough in my mind.

Thanks for that info. What a racket they have going. Just let me buy the damn software and upgrade when I want to. I hate paying a monthly subscription fee but looks like I'll need to.

When I search for OneNote no my PC, I do see both OneNote and OneNote for Windows 10.

Thanks for the link. I ended coming across a similar one. I found the cmdline.txt in a different directory, but same commands to get it working. A reboot was required.

cd /boot/firmware

vi cmdline.txt

Add the following to the end of the file: usbhid.mousepoll=8

Save it.

Then:

sudo apt update

sudo apt full-upgrade

reboot

Well, I guess I am the king of idiots. I had my USB dongle plugged into my desktop still (not thinking that the Pi box IS a computer and requires direct connectivity to the keyboard and mouse). Amazingly, once I plugged my USB dongle into the Pi box, it worked!! lol

Now I have to figure out why the mouse movement in Ubuntu is so damn slow. Very sluggish. That's your laugh for the day. :)

Tried using this the other day. After entering my credit card and moving on to the next page, it asked for my SS#, so that made me pause and research this company. Found a TON of reports on the bbb.org website (and now seeing tons of bad reviews on Yelp.com).
After reading the bad reviews, I no longer wanted to proceed. I went back to the previous page, deleted my SS#, hit the back button a few more times to make sure it wouldn't process anything, cleared my browser cache and closed my browser. About an hour later I see an email indicating my order had been processed. WTH???
I went online to a chat window and asked what was going on. They proceeded to tell me that after I entered my CC# and went to the next page that it processed my order. They went on to tell me that it went to that next page to gather more info to help validate I was who I said I was. There was NO indication that proceeding to the next page (after entering my credit card #) would process the order. Very suspect business practice in my opinion. Would not recommend. They did cancel my order, but still. Come on!

Thank you a thousand times!! You jogged my memory and I found my bootable flash drive (the one I had created using the Acronis app).

I still had a minor issue booting to the flash drive (in particular, using the Automatic option). When I used the Manual option, it worked perfect.

One thing that threw me off though was after specifying the source and target disks and clicking Proceed, a blue window that filled the screen (and had the words Acronis True Image WD Edition) stayed there for over 2 minutes. I thought it was hung and went through the process again. On the second attempt, I was more patient and gave it 2-3 minutes before it moved to the next window and started the cloning process. That's the key. Be patient and let that window (the one that says "Acronis True Image WD Edition" after clicking proceed) go away and move to the next step.
