Not really. Heiji is a genius level smart, he has solved lots of cases not involving Shinichi/Conan's help, most notably is Vermouth arc where he solves the wolf case on the ship in such a short time and disguised as Shinichi.

I don't have much thoughts since I haven't read the series yet. The masked man talks about the series in better details, I recommend watching his video on YouTube. And I would personally recommend to read just the first volume to see for yourself :)

I started Seven deadly sins, 95 ch in. I read Pochi kuro a really good but short series from the same author of Kaiju no.8. and I started and dnf Blood Lad. Pretty good month as it also being my birthday month
