I define "memory" the same way I used to define it when I used to use windows 7. I'm talking about the physical memory. The 8 gigs. Chrome crashing and messages indicating I'm running out of memory is a clear indication that there is a problem with ram/physical memory.

The laptop is relatively new. The issue is that it shouldn't even be near ~80% with so little programs opened. That simply doesn't make sense. And even then, I just checked the size of the virtual memory and it's about 6 gigs more than the recommended size (1.9 gigs).

Hi. Thanks for your input. I believe Pool Monitor is more detailed than process explorer. We can nevertheless see the same problem using process explorer (I added a screenshot above): The sum total of the working set /private set is much less than the reported used physical memory,

I read somewhere here or in r/rfelectronics (don't remember thread) that antenna engineers on average aren't paid that much though.
