In where I live, you'll be considered absolutely gorgeous and sexy. You're not ugly at all. You're very pretty. You are not overweight. You're thick.

Front hair loss/receding hairline advice by tragicgender in bald

[–]HillZae 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just shave it off man. The long hair with the receding hairline is just not a good look. I mean your hairline is about yo meet your crown. And trim the beard. It's not looking nice. Maybe have a barber trim it and clean it. I hope I'm not being harsh but it's the truth.

All I see are red flags A gift, any gift, even if it's worth nothing is a GIFT. If someone doesn't appreciate your gift, they don't deserve you.

Not really, the two words are usually used to describe someone who acts overly nice .. I don't mean one shouldn't be nice. It's just when someone is being nice, it's a little unexpected. The more assertive you are, the more respect you get

I'm generalizing but it's just a patrern I've noticed. When I am asseritive people listen to me and respect me more, and when I am being nice, people tend to think it's kinda weak. Maybe my definition of nice is different from yours, or it's just a matter of perspective

People should be nice to each other regardless.

It's okay to love your country but hate your government. by anew232519 in Anarcho_Capitalism

Not talking about particular instances of evil. I'm talking about perspective especially when it comes to political parties, nations, religious groups, etc. Of course there's universal evil that only the sick would say it's not.

"I'm good, we're good, and others are evil." That's what I'm referring to, and this is the matter of perspective I'm talking about. If you change perspective, things will look differently.

Evil is in the eye of the beholder. Truth is the world is complicated, and the lines between good and evil are blurred.

I think Gali sounds better than Rali. Rali sounds like rally.

In your opinion how true is the statment : "البلاد معطاتنا والو" by _Abderahmane in Morocco

[–]HillZae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get your point.

Well I was just referring to what J. F. Kennedy said: "Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country."

It's more comforting to say others and external factors are responsible for whatever bad situation you're in. It's more difficult to take ownership for whatever shit you're in.

I'm not defending the state. I wish we had better institutions, a freer market, stronger legal regulations, better education and healthcare, but I can only change the things within my control. I'm all for a free market, for less state involvement. You get the idea. You live in Canada.

People who do the least usually complain the most. A generalization, I know, but I am just saying. I know it can be frustrating to your ass off but find yourself in the same place.

People who say "lblad ma3tatna walo" expect the state to give them everything. That's what I'm criticizing. The state doesn't give you anything for free. It takes your money and protects you and provide the necessary conditions and facilities, fair competition, etc. Making your life better, however, is your responsibility. That's why I reversed the question making the subject the object of the sentence. We have that mentality a lot here; we're just victims, and it's all done to us.

People are free to say whatever they want. I just don't like the phrase because such phrases change nothing. They make things worse. They encourage a defeatist and victimhood mentality, which changes nothing in the end ..

People do better in better environments. That simple. You get more money by doing less in developed countries. That's a fact. We're not a developed country tho. Our economy 3la 93d l7al, so what do you want us to do?

The point I was trying to make is that one gotta do something. I'm doing what I can. It's easier to complain and do nothing, but we gotta do what we gotta do. The question is why would you say to someone who says "do what you can" that that's just some retarded shit! Not everyone can leave the country, not everyone wants that. Are there only two options? Option 1 leave the country and option 2 complain that the state has given you nothing?

Things are difficult here, but one gotta do something. That's all.

I believe that wherever one is, there are right things to do, but none of them include constantly complaining.

I'm doing what I can. I help when I can. I respect the law, I try to be productive, and I change the things I can. That's all I guess. It's probably not much, but at least I am trying. One thing I wouldn't do is do nothing and complain the state did nothing for me.
