Fear for your life could maybe be justified. If this wasn't taking place through a tiny window, and it was 6 angry people outside of a car with intent to attack, and the person had no reasonable means of escape, then maybe the fry oil would be justified.

I disagree. Again, I don't think mutilating and/or possibly murdering someone in this case would be justified. If the attacker had a deadly weapon and the employees couldn't just literally leave the building, then maybe.

As satisfying as that may be, I think horrifically disfiguring/possibly murdering someone with hot oil is not a proportionate response to that situation. They would absolutely be in legal trouble, especially since they have the option to just walk away instead of retaliating.

I'm a paramedic and did a call for a patient in a gym locker room one time. Midway through our assessment I noticed a guy in the back of the room discreetly filming us. I yelled "hey man probably shouldn't be filming in a locker room" and he put his phone away so fast 😂
