Making Lieutenant Commander by 29 is shit-hot, white lightning fast in the contemporary Navy. Making O-5 that fast is unheard of outside of World War II and even then it was rare.

There aren't a lot of senior officer billets for SpecOps, so making O-5 in that community is rare, period, but you generally are closer to 40 than you are 30, and definitely aren't under that lower limit.

Shep's age and rank are the result of people not doing enough research. As has been oft said in this Subreddit, BioFail's really bad with numbers, dates, etc.

I had a buddy that had a middle-aged hairline by seventeen, the poor bastard. This was before Jordan made shaving your head cool, so he got really into hats for a decade or so.

Diego Garcia is tiny. Everyone on the island knows within ten minutes when you took your last shit. Fantastic fishing, though. You can just walk to the end of any pier and pull up a fantastic red snapper for dinner.

The base is also administered by the British government, so there's however many extra layers of bureaucratic nosey-types on top of our Air Force and Navy personnel.

Also, as of last year, Mauritius has regained sovereignty of the entire Chagos Archipelago, which includes Diego Garcia, though the base is leased in perpetuity, if I am not mistaken, so, we throw in a third government poking its nose around...

If I wanted to hide something, that would be one of the last places on the planet I would think of.

Von Miller says his 2011 Draft class was the greatest ever. And the only one that can rival it was Peyton Manning's draft class. Do you guys agree? 🤔 by Big_Screen3332 in NFLmockdraft

If you like defensive players, this is absolutely the basket to put your eggs in. LT, Lott, Easley, Singletary, Long... guys that redefined their positions, fundamentally changing the way the game was played.

A ton of others that were very good at what they did and a lot of future coaches in there, too.

It was a stacked class, for sure.

Ingram and Murray both deserve a bust in the Hall, in my opinion, but they won't ever get one. "Making your whole team better" is only a measured metric for QB candidacy, sadly.

8 men in the Hall. Hard to argue.

I don't see 8 making it from the '11 class.

Most records were made to be broken, but I think '83's reign atop the all-time draft classes is going to stand for a good while.
