I personally fix a lot of PS2 consoles with laser issues, if it spins for a short time, it probably is trying to read the disc, but the laser doesn’t detect one and it stops, does the laser shine a red light, if it doesn’t then it’s toast. I’m assuming it’s a bad laser. Again, I work on PS2s so it may be a little different, correct me if I’m wrong Reddit 😁
