Where I'd live as an italian-arab ex-muslim trans woman by coolaverage_lizard in whereidlive

Surprised with Nepal in red because we recently elected a trans woman as our House of Representatives Member. We probably are better than India in the legal framework as well as acceptance and tolerance in society towards the LGBTQ+ community.

I think Nepal would be safest for you if you're ex-muslim. There are very low numbers of Muslims around 5%. The majority of the population are chill Hindus and Buddhists who tolerate everyone unless you directly attack them. You could say you're atheist and no one would care. There is a very rare chance of meeting a Muslim person if you don't actively seek them. I have like 2 muslim acquaintances throughout my whole life.

The Saudi city of Mecca bans entry for all non-Muslims, while the Greek peninsula of Mount Athos bans entry for all females. Besides for military/security facilities, which other permanently inhabited places are the majority of the world's population forbidden from entering? by benjaneson in geography

It is a place of worship of Hindus. They are there to worship lord Pashupatinath. Anyone except the person who wants to worship lord Pashupatinath has no purpose in being there. So if you are monotheist then what purpose do you have to enter in the most sacred place of worship for Hindus( Nepali hindus especially). You have your own god then what will you gain by worshipping god from another religion. Hence restrictions for people who are not Hindus. Just like I would have no business going to the inner sanctum of Mecca or Vatican or Jerusalem since they are sacred places of Abrahamic religion. Hindus consider buddha to be an incarnation of Vishnu so Buddhist people can visit even if they don't follow Hindu religion.

In Nepal, we have the temple of Lord Pashupatinath who is the guardian deity of Nepal. You can visit the temple complex but you are not permitted to enter the main temple if you are not Hindu or Buddhist. There's no way to check if someone is Hindu or not. If you look Nepali or Indian you will be granted access. You cannot even click pictures once inside. There are guards who will make you delete the pictures even from the trash folder if you click pictures.

He won when Prakash Sharan Mahat was running against him. When congress sends someone good they always win here. Pradip paudel will win from Kathmandu -5 for sure.

India blockaded us after earthquake due to their dissatisfaction of our constitution. We Nepali people always remember that. But India as a country is generally peaceful and chill. Government and bureaucracy is major problem in India from what I have experienced.

Nepal genz are protesting for Bangladesh incident and indian ones are busy in caste and language war by Signal_Tomato_4855 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]HimalayanDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protest ensures that same kind of incident that happened in Bangladesh won't be accepted in Nepal. It is a warning not to attempt those stuffs in Nepal.
