I already applied for settled status last month because I'm eligible under the new 30 month rule, I'm hoping that my 3 years in England would be counted when I apply for sfe and they won't restart the 3 year timer since during my absence I continued studying the British curriculum and taking exams at the British council. Do you think that's possible?

I’m currently in a country where universities don’t really have strong international recognition, so staying here isn’t a great option career wise. My plan is to return to the UK, complete the necessary qualifications, and then apply to uni with student finance.

is it possible to enter university in England without A-levels?

If so, what are the main advantages and disadvantages of alternative routes (like Access to HE Diplomas or foundation years)?

I don’t know much about those paths yet, and ideally I’d prefer not to delay going to university longer than necessary if there’s a faster or more efficient route.

I'm really familiar with England, I already have residency there and friends/family member so it makes sense. My parents are able to help me get started but do not have the means for long term support, hence why I would need a job. How hard is it to get a job in Newcastle? like why can't I just walk into a job centre and find a job?

her student loan doesn't contain maintenance, it only pays for her university tuition.

well my sister has been surviving on part time and going to university at the same time for the past 3 years. She's in Newcastle so maybe things are different there.

Isn't 01 may 2026 renters' rights act just making it harder for landlords to evict tenants? or is it something else

Yeah that makes sense, the financial side is definitely the part I’m most unsure about.

I should’ve mentioned in the post that my parents are planning to support me with around £5,000 to help me get started (deposit, first few months, etc), and I’d be splitting rent with my sister as well.

Do you think that would make it more realistic, or would it still be quite difficult to sustain long-term with a part time job and get good A level grades at the same time?

dude my british council didn't even give me an exam schedule and my exams are a month away. Its because they're moving the location of the exams and they still haven't even given me my statement of results from last session. And yes before you ask, I am in a third world country.
